Stitch is waiting for his very own family! Is he the right companion for you? Stitch has developed positively during his time in the shelter. He blossoms there and enjoys walks and time with both people and dogs. He walks well on a leash, listens well, and is compatible with all other dogs. He is loving and friendly to all people. He is now about 4 years old and brings a medium size with him, about 50 cm and 18.5 kg. Stitch is house-trained, stays alone sometimes, too. In short, a dream dog for the active person who would like to enjoy nature with him. His trademark is the hanging long tongue. We don't know why he does this; there are no physical causes for it, but it makes him a little unique. Additionally, he is missing a few teeth, which doesn't really bother him and is only a small blemish. Stitch has his own mind and can be quite cheeky at times, but he is generally very receptive and intelligent and looks forward to any attention from his trusted people. He would therefore like to be challenged when he settles in, as he is no couch potato. Of course, one must look at what can be reasonably expected of him and what cannot; the right balance is important. Positive reinforcement-based dog training classes or trainers who can read him would certainly be beneficial and we would consider them necessary to further work on dog communication. For Stitch, we wish for a low-stress environment, rural with a well-fenced garden where he can run around. Active people who can show him how wonderful a dog life can be in the right family and the right environment. A confident only-dog would certainly help Stitch, but it is not a must. Children should be in a stable age and know responsible pet care. Stitch will be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas in his new home. Stitch wartet schon auf seine ganz eigene Familie! Ist er der richtige Begleiter für dich? Stitch hat sich in der Zeit in der Pension absolut positiv entwickelt. Er blüht dort förmlich auf und genießt Spaziergänge und Zeit mit Mensch und Hund. Er läuft gut an der Leine, hört gut und ist verträglich mit allen Hunden, lieb und freundlich zu allen Menschen. Er ist nun etwa 4 Jahre alt und bringt mit etwa 50 cm und 18,5 kg eine mittlere Größe mit. Stitch ist stubenrein, bleibt auch mal alleine. Kurzum, ein Traumhund für den aktiven Menschen, der gerne die Natur mit ihm zusammen genießen möchte. Sein Markenzeichen ist die raushängende lange Zunge. Warum er das macht, wissen wir nicht, es liegen keinerlei körperliche Ursachen hierfür vor, aber macht ihn doch ein wenig einzigartig. Außerdem fehlen ihm ein paar Zähne, was aber auch nicht weiter beeinträchtigt und nur ein kleiner Schönheitsmakel ist. Stitch hat schon seinen eigenen Kopf und kann durchaus auch mal rotzfrech sein, wenn er aufgetaut ist, ist im Großen und Ganzen jedoch sehr lernbereit und intelligent und freut sich über jede Aufmerksamkeit seiner Vertrauenspersonen. Er möchte daher auch gerne ausgelastet werden, wenn er erst einmal richtig angekommen ist, da er kein Couch-Potato ist. Allerdings muss hier natürlich geschaut werden, was man ihm zumuten kann und was nicht; auch die richtige Balance ist dabei wichtig. Eine mit positiver Verstärkung arbeitende Hundeschule oder Hundetrainer, die ihn lesen können, tut ihm sicherlich gut und würden wir auch als notwendig erachten, um weiter an der Hundekommunikation zu arbeiten. Für Stitch wünschen wir uns ein reizarmes Umfeld, ländlich und mit gut eingezäuntem Garten, in dem er sich austoben kann. Aktive Menschen, die ihm zeigen, wie wunderbar ein Hundeleben in der richtigen Familie und im richtigen Umfeld sein kann. Ein souveräner Ersthund würde Stitch sicher helfen, ist aber kein Muss. Kinder sollten schon in standfestem Alter sein und den verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit einem Haustier kennen. Stitch zieht kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht in sein neues Zuhause. Er wird nach positiver Vorkontrolle gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro vermittelt. Auch seinen EU-Heimtierausweis bringt er mit! Vielen Dank an Dolores J.!
