Aggiornamento 19.12.2024: E poi c'è VALERIE, la nostra ragazza speciale. Al pari di Chappy, la sua vita prima di venire da noi è stata molto difficile. Possiamo ancora vedere il dolore che ha lasciato le sue tracce. Ma guardala. Valerie adora l'attenzione, gli snack (!) e i suoi amici. Le piace essere accarezzata e ci ama nel suo modo speciale. E noi la adoriamo assolutamente! Aggiornamento 30.1.2024: Ecco alcune nuove foto della nostra Valerie. Valerie. Valerie è stata portata da noi da un residente locale che aveva abusato di questa ragazza senza pietà. Ci ha portato lei e le sue due figlie, Bonnie (ancora con noi) e McKenzie (adottata). Valerie è una situazione speciale. Ha dei trigger in cui fa il gesto di mordere ma non lo fa mai veramente, sembra solo spaventare. Lo fa se la si accarezza troppo a lungo. Sembra quasi che lo stimolo di essere accarezzata sia troppo per lei. Ha un problema alle gambe posteriori. L'owner aveva menzionato qualcosa riguardo al fatto che fosse caduta da un balcone. Non siamo sicuri che sia la ragione della sua disabilità ma non lo sapremo mai. È una situazione triste per Valerie perché la conosciamo bene e è un animale gentile e amorevole ma tutti i suoi problemi non permettono mai a nessuno di interessarsi davvero a lei. Non merita di passare il resto dei suoi giorni in rifugio. Merita una casa tranquilla. Adora le sue coperte e gli snack. E ci ama moltissimo, nel suo modo speciale. Se sei quella persona speciale che si prende cura degli animali che non hanno mai possibilità di essere adottati, Valerie è il caso più semplice tra questi. È facile da gestire. Si intende bene con la maggior parte dei cani. La sua disabilità è gestibile. Considera la mia Valerie. La mia dolce signorina che non ha avuto una mano equa nella vita. Cambia la sua fortuna.

Update 19.12.2024: And then there’s VALERIE, our special girl Much like Chappy, her life before coming to us was anything but easy. We can still see the pain that has left its marks on her. But look at her. Valerie loves attention, treats (!) and her friends. She enjoys pets and loves us in her own special way. And we absolutely adore her! Update 30.1.2024: Here you have some brand new photos of our Valerie. Valerie. Valerie was brought to us by a local who for certain had abused this girl to no end. He brought us her and her two daughters, Bonnie (still with us) and McKenzie (adopted). Valerie is a special case. She has triggers where she will make the gesture to bite but never really does, she just seems to intimidate. She does this if petted too long. It is almost as if the stimulus of being pet is too much for her to handle. She has an issue with her back legs. The owner had mentioned something about her falling off of a balcony. We are not so sure that is the reason for her disability but we will never know. It is kind of a sad situation for Valerie because we know her well and she is a kind, loving animal but all of her setbacks never allow anyone to really become interested in her. She doesn’t deserve to spend the rest of her days at the shelter. She deserves a quiet home. She loves her blankets and her treats. And she loves us very much, in her own special way. If you are that special person who cares to take on animals who have no chance of ever being adopted, Valerie is the easiest of these cases. She is easy to handle. She gets along well with most dogs. Her handicap is manageable. Please consider my Valerie. My darling little lady who hasn’t been dealt a fair hand in life. Change her luck
