Wilson è uno dei nostri cani con soggiorno prolungato, stato con la Trust dal aprile 2023, inizialmente con Greyhound Trust Hall Green e da dicembre 2023 con noi a Greyhound Trust Harvel. Ha solo 4 anni quindi è ancora un cane giovane. Wilson ha due grossi ostacoli per cui è rimasto con la Trust per tanto tempo in attesa di una casa. Numero 1 è forte al guinzaglio con un alto istinto predatore e Numero 2 è che si è ritirato da un ginocchio rotto e non si è ripreso come dovrebbe, il che gli ha lasciato un zoppicare. Con alcuni allenamenti e socializzazione migliorerà al guinzaglio e la sua gamba lo preoccupa solo se ha fatto troppo esercizio e dopo un giorno di riposo va bene. È un ragazzo molto intelligente e sarà un candidato ideale per giochi enigmistici per tenerlo occupato. È anche abbastanza giocoso quindi si adatterà a una casa con una cagna greyhound per giocare o come animale unico. È amichevole e un ragazzo davvero dolce e ama molto le attenzioni e si è mostrato felice di conoscere bambini piccoli quindi pensiamo che possa fare un ottimo animale domestico per la famiglia. Viaggia bene in auto quindi anche se le passeggiate non devono essere troppo lunghe sarebbe felice di viaggiare in luoghi nuovi per esplorare. È un ragazzo felice che ama tutti e ha un lato molto birichino, chiunque avrebbe fortuna ad averlo nella propria casa. Wilson is one of our long stay dogs having been with the Trust since April 2023, First with Greyhound Trust Hall Green and since December 2023 with us at Greyhound Trust Harvel. He is only 4 years old so still a young dog. Wilson has two big set backs for why he has been with the Trust for so long waiting for a home. Number 1 he is strong on the lead with a high prey drive and Number 2 is that he retired from a broken hock and it didn't heal as well as it should do, which has left him with a limp. With some training and socialisation he will get better on the lead and his leg only bothers him if he has done too much exercise and after a days rest he is fine. He is a very intelligent boy and will be an ideal candidate for puzzle games to keep him busy. He is also quite playful so will suit a home with a greyhound girl to play with or as an only pet. He is friendly and such a gentle boy and just loves a fuss and has been happy to meet young children so we think he would make a lovely family pet. He travels well in the car so although walks need to be not too long he would be happy to travel to new places to investigate. He is a happy boy who loves everyone and has a really cheeky side to him, anyone would be lucky to have this boy in their home.
