Womble2017 | Skewbald | Gypsy Cob | Sotto 12,2hhNoi vorremmo davvero essere in grado di rispondere a incidenti come quello che ci ha portato ad aiutare Womble e Cheyenne.Crediamo che aiutare altre organizzazioni a proteggere cavalli e pony, in qualsiasi circostanza, sia essenziale per gestire al meglio le questioni di benessere animale.Il tuo sostegno a Womble ci permetterà di continuare a farlo - grazie!La storia finora...Nel 2017 abbiamo ricevuto una chiamata da uno dei responsabili del benessere animale dell' RSPCA che ci chiedeva aiuto per catturare due puledri che correvano liberi sui campi da gioco nel County Durham.L'area era aperta e adiacente a una strada trafficata e uno dei due puledri era particolarmente timido.Ho deciso di prendere gabbie per la cattura e anche un finto – che può essere molto utile in situazioni come questa.Il finto – una delle nostre Shetland 'Amazon' – ha funzionato perfettamente.Anche se hanno iniziato con scappate folli, abbiamo applicato un po' di pazienza e un piano accurato, che ha portato alla raccolta in meno di un'ora.Ho chiamato i due pony Womble e Cheyenne e fortunatamente il loro stato era abbastanza buono.Nessun proprietario si è mai presentato e le ragazze ribelli hanno trascorso tempo a crescere e imparare a vivere la vita un po'

Womble2017 | Skewbald | Gypsy Cob | Under 12.2hhWe would really like to be in a position to respond to incidents just like the one that brought us to help Womble and Cheyenne.We believe that helping other charities to protect horses and ponies, no matter what the circumstances, is key to dealing with animal welfare issues most effectively.Your sponsorship of Womble means we will be able to continue to do that – thank you!The story so far...Back in 2017 we were called by one of the RSPCA Animal Welfare Officers asking for help to catch two foals running wild on playing fields in County Durham.The area was wide open and adjacent to a busy road and one of the two foals was particularly flighty.We decided to take catch pens and also a decoy – which can be very helpful in situations like this.The decoy – one of our Shetlands ‘Amazon’, worked a treat.Despite initial mad dashes for freedom, we applied a bit of patience and some careful planning, which led to the round up taking us less than an hour.We named the two ponies Womble and Cheyenne and thankfully their condition was fairly good.No owner ever came forward and the wayward girls duly spent time growing and learning to live life aro
