DIVA is an Akita-Inu female dog, born around December 2015. She came to us as part of a seizure. DIVA is a very trusting, people-oriented female dog who clearly enjoys the proximity of her trusted people. She is cuddly, playful, and actively seeks contact with "her" people. Due to her limitations, DIVA requires a particularly sensitive, calm handling as well as a stable environment with regular routines. An apartment on an even floor in a quiet location is very important for DIVA, ideally a house with a garden where she can move around safely. A hectic daily routine or frequently changing trusted people would overwhelm her. DIVA should live as a single dog so she can receive the full attention and calmness she needs. People with patience, understanding, and a loving eye for her needs are essential for her. DIVA is blind and hard of hearing. Additionally, she suffers from an autoimmune disease and is permanently dependent on medication.
