Lily May è arrivata da un allevatore e ora spera di trovare la sua casa speciale per sempre. Quando è arrivata, era una bambina molto preoccupata che si sentiva sopraffatta dal suo nuovo ambiente. È chiaro che non ha avuto molta socializzazione in precedenza, quindi avrà bisogno di tanto amore e cura mentre si abitua alla sua nuova vita. Lily May è stata temporaneamente in un ambiente di accoglienza, dove ha iniziato a trovare le sue gambe e ad abituarsi alla vita in casa. Purtroppo non si è bene con uno dei cani femmine residenti nel suo ambiente di accoglienza, quindi deve tornare al rifugio dove si è abituata bene. Da allora ha dimostrato di poter essere esigente con quali cani femmine vuole condividere lo spazio e per questo motivo cercherà ora una casa con un cane maschio, poiché preferisce la compagnia dei cani maschi. Ha convivuto con un gatto e quindi potrebbe andare d'accordo con un gatto che conosce i cani. Lily May è più adatta a una casa calma e tranquilla con adottanti che hanno esperienza con cani esuberi ex allevatori e che la aiuteranno a stabilirsi a suo ritmo. È ancora molto timida, ma sta affrontando ogni cosa con dolcezza. Ha già accettato bene il guinzaglio e sta iniziando a camminare con il collare. Tuttavia, dovrà continuare a guadagnare fiducia quando esce. Si presenta bene con gli altri cani durante le passeggiate ed è anche diventata confortevole nel salutare i loro proprietari, mostrando quanto è coraggiosa! Poiché non ha mai vissuto in una casa prima, Lily May avrà bisogno di adottanti pazienti e comprensivi per presentarle gradualmente le routine quotidiane. Avrà bisogno di supporto per imparare l'addestramento a casa, tuttavia aveva già iniziato a farlo molto bene nel suo ambiente di accoglienza. Rimane sensibile ai rumori e movimenti quotidiani, ma sta iniziando a gestirli meglio con rassicurazione e supporto gentile. Lily May tollera di essere manipolata e questo continuerà a migliorare man mano che si sviluppa la sua fiducia. Lily May è una dolce bambina che ha semplicemente bisogno di pazienza, amore e rassicurazione. Con la giusta famiglia al suo fianco, continuerà a crescere in fiducia e diventerà un compagno devoto e amorevole. Al momento è in trattamento per un'infezione dell'orecchio. Lily May has come to us from a breeder and is now hoping to find her own special forever home. When she first arrived, she was a very worried little girl who was feeling quite overwhelmed by her new surroundings. Its clear she hasn’t had much socialisation before, so she will need lots of love and TLC as she settles into her new life. Lily May did move briefly to a foster home, where she began to find her paws and settle into home life. Unfortunately she didn't get on with one of the female resident dogs in her foster home so she has had to come back to the rescue where she has settled back in well. She has since shown that she can be picky with which female dogs she likes to share her space with and so for this reason she will now be looking for a home with a male resident dog as she much prefers the company of male dogs. She was in foster with a cat and so could possibly be homed with a dog savvy cat. Lily May will be best suited to a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and who will help her settle in at her own pace. She is still very timid, but is taking everything gently in her stride. She can already walk on a lead, so she would enjoy one or two walks around the local area when she is settled in. She meets other dogs well on walks and is even getting comfortable greeting their owners as well, showing just how brave she is! As she has had limited experience in a home, Lily May will need patient and understanding adopters to gently introduce her to everyday routines. She will need support with learning about house training, however, she was already starting to do really well with this in her foster home. She remains sensitive to everyday noises and movements, but is beginning to cope better with gentle reassurance and support. Lily May does tolerate being handled, and this will continue to improve as her trust develops. Lily May is a sweet little girl who simply needs patience, love and reassurance. With the right family by her side, she will continue to grow in confidence and become a devoted and loving companion. She is currently being treated for an ear infection. This dog can be homed with a resident dog. This dog can be homed with cats.
