Luna da volontaria Liz... Luna l'ho conosciuta l'anno scorso nel novembre (2025). Era sembrata così male a causa della Leishmania allora che ho trascorso un tempo extra per confortarla e camminare con lei. Nonostante come si doveva sentire, era dolce da portare in passeggiata. Una piccola ragazza felice, che non tirava la guida e apprezzava le sue passeggiate. Sono stato molto sorpreso di vederla non adottata quando sono tornato in gennaio. Era anche sembrata molto meglio, la sua pelle era migliorata notevolmente e aveva guadagnato peso. Era esattamente come me la ricordavo, ma ancora più giocosa e vivace. Sai, alcuni cani sono troppo entusiasti quando escono e sono un bel problema da guidare. Ma questa piccola ragazza sta semplicemente godendo del suo tempo all'esterno. Respira l'erba come se fosse la prima volta. E ogni tanto viene a chiedere un abbraccio, come se volesse dirti quanto si diverte fuori. Quando sono tornato, abbiamo avuto un bel momento di coccole, è il tipo che si avvicina a te. So che è un preferito da molti volontari. Non capisco perché non sia stata adottata. Luna ha la faccetta più carina e buone maniere, dovrebbe essere andata via da molto tempo. Luna ha la leishmaniosi ma questa condizione può essere gestita con farmaci orali e i cani con questa condizione possono condurre una vita normale. Luna by Volunteer Liz... Luna I first met her last November (2025). She was looking so bad because of the Leishmania back then that I spent some extra time to comfort her and walk with her. Despite how she must have felt, she was lovely to walk. A nice little joyful girl, who didn't pull on the lead and enjoyed her walks. I was so surprised to see she had not been adopted when I returned in January She also looked so much better her skin had greatly improved and she had gained weight . She was just as I remembered, but even more playful and lively. You know, some of the dogs are overenthusiastic when they get out and they're a handful to walk. But this little girl is just really enjoying her time outside. She smells the grass like its her first time. And she comes over for a cuddle every now and then, like she wants to tell you what a great time she’s having outside. When I came back, we had ourselves some nice cuddle time, she is the lean-into-you type I know she is a favorite with many of the volunteers. I don’t understand why she hasn’t been adopted. Luna has the most adorable little face and proper manners she should have been long gone. Luna has leishmaniasis but this condition can be managed with oral medication and dogs with the condition can lead a normal life .
