Luna por voluntaria Liz... Luna la conocí por primera vez el noviembre pasado (2025). Ella tenía muy mala pinta debido a la Leishmania en ese momento, así que pasé un tiempo extra para consolarla y caminar con ella. A pesar de cómo se debió sentir, era encantadora de pasear. Una chica pequeña y alegre que no tiraba de la correa y disfrutaba sus paseos. Me sorprendió mucho ver que no había sido adoptada cuando volví en enero. También parecía mucho mejor, su piel había mejorado considerablemente y había engordado. Era exactamente como la recordaba, pero aún más juguetona y activa. Sabes, algunos perros se vuelven demasiado entusiasmados al salir y son una molestia de pasear. Pero esta pequeña chica simplemente disfruta su tiempo afuera. Huela la hierba como si fuera la primera vez. Y cada ahora y entonces viene a abrazarte, como si quisiera decirte lo bien que se está sintiendo afuera. Cuando regresé, tuvimos un buen momento de abrazos, es del tipo que se acerca a ti. Sé que es una favorita entre muchos de los voluntarios. No entiendo por qué no ha sido adoptada. Luna tiene el rostro más adorable y buenas maneras, debería haberse ido hace mucho tiempo. Luna tiene leishmaniosis pero esta condición puede ser controlada con medicación oral y los perros con esta condición pueden llevar una vida normal. Luna by Volunteer Liz... Luna I first met her last November (2025). She was looking so bad because of the Leishmania back then that I spent some extra time to comfort her and walk with her. Despite how she must have felt, she was lovely to walk. A nice little joyful girl, who didn't pull on the lead and enjoyed her walks. I was so surprised to see she had not been adopted when I returned in January She also looked so much better her skin had greatly improved and she had gained weight . She was just as I remembered, but even more playful and lively. You know, some of the dogs are overenthusiastic when they get out and they're a handful to walk. But this little girl is just really enjoying her time outside. She smells the grass like its her first time. And she comes over for a cuddle every now and then, like she wants to tell you what a great time she’s having outside. When I came back, we had ourselves some nice cuddle time, she is the lean-into-you type I know she is a favorite with many of the volunteers. I don’t understand why she hasn’t been adopted. Luna has the most adorable little face and proper manners she should have been long gone. Luna has leishmaniasis but this condition can be managed with oral medication and dogs with the condition can lead a normal life .
