If Melody were a song, it would be a gentle, flowing, and soothing composition.Melody is a gentle and mild-mannered female dog. She never seeks the front, but can be pushed aside by others. Her sister found a home long ago, but Melody remained. And then, what is our greatest nightmare, and always looms as a potential threat: Melody was attacked by several dogs in the group. Afterward, she changed, did not come out of her hut, and did not want to go on walks anymore. Now, it has improved, but one can see that she is always careful not to provoke an attack. For Melody, it would be a blessing if she could leave the shelter. She is compatible with other dogs, and if the only dog is friendly and calm, that would certainly be beautiful for Melody. However, we think she would also be happy as a single dog if her people give her enough attention. Info: What does it mean that the dog is not yet travel-ready? Our dogs are vaccinated according to regulations. Rabies vaccinations are done annually in Serbia. To bring dogs from Serbia, which is now a listed third country, into the EU, they need a corresponding rabies titre. This measures whether there are enough antibodies against rabies in the blood. For Serbia, it is required that the titre certificate for entry into the EU must be at least 3 months old. Since titres are expensive, not all dogs have the certificate, and it is only made when needed. Therefore, it can take up to 3 months for an adopted dog to become travel-ready. During this time, blood will be drawn from the dog and sent to the lab. This is also the reason why our dogs are not adoptable until they are at least 8 months old, or travel-ready. MelodyWäre Melody ein Lied, wäre es eine sanfte, dahinfließende und beruhigende Komposition.Melody ist eine gutmütige und sanfte Hundedame.Sie drängt sich nie in den Vordergrund, lässt sich aber von anderen verdrängen.Ihre Schwester hatte schon vor langer Zeit das Glück ein Zuhause zu finden.Melody blieb zurück.Und dann geschah, was unser größter Alptraum ist, und immer als potentielle Gefahr über allem schwebt:Melody wurde von mehreren Hunden in der Gruppe angegriffen.Danach veränderte sie sich, kam nicht mehr aus ihrer Hütte, und wollte nicht mehr mit auf Spaziergänge.Mittlerweile ist es wieder besser geworden, aber man sieht ihr an, dass sie immer darauf bedacht ist, keinen Angriff zu provozieren.Für Melody wäre es ein Segen, wenn sie das Asyl verlassen könnte.Sie ist verträglich mit anderen Hunden, und wenn der Ersthund freundlich und gelassen ist, wäre das für Melody bestimmt schön.Allerdings denken wir, dass sie auch als Einzelhund glücklich wäre, wenn ihre Menschen ihr genug Aufmerksamkeit schenken. Tollwutimpfung wird in Serbien jährlich gemacht.Um aus Serbien, das mittlerweile ein gelistetes Drittland ist, Hunde in die EU verbringen zu können, brauchen sie einen entsprechenden Tollwuttiter.Der misst, ob genügend Antikörper gegen Tollwut im Blut sind.Für Serbien gilt, dass der Titernachweis bei Einreise in die EU, mindestens 3 Monate alt sein muss.Da Titer recht teuer sind, haben nicht alle Hunde das Zertifikat, sondern es wird erst bei Bedarf gemacht.Wird ein Hund adoptiert, kann es daher 3 Monate dauern, bis er/sie ausreisefertig ist.Dazu wird dem Hund Blut abgenommen, und ins Labor geschickt.Das ist auch der Grund, warum unsere Hunde frühestens mit 8 Monaten vermittelbar, bzw. ausreisefertig sind.
