On December 24, 2025, she was rescued along with her brother Monty from being killed – a fate that has shaped but not broken her. She has kept her wonderful character and lovable nature. When she finally arrived at her private foster home in Spain, her great uncertainty was clearly visible. She was very afraid, barked whenever someone looked at her, and immediately sought to escape. To help her calm down, much effort and empathy were put into it. With the support of a dedicated animal rescuer, Milva was fitted with a harness and brought carefully into the house. There something wonderful happened: She relaxed surprisingly quickly, began looking around, and even discovered the cat in the house – completely calmly without any negative reaction. Curiously, she sniffed the cat and accepted it right away, making peaceful cohabitation easy. Now she sleeps peacefully through the night and is reliably house-trained. She has integrated well into daily life, knows the routines in the household, and moves around her environment calmly and balanced. Still, there are moments when her insecurity shows. Sometimes she is startled by new or unfamiliar sounds and reacts with barking – especially if she hears something but cannot see it. This indicates that she still needs more time, patience, and loving companionship. Walking on a leash is also something Milva still needs to learn. Practice is ongoing in her foster home, and she is making steady progress. Nevertheless, one must consider that Milva had only known a kennel until now. She has become accustomed to the rhythm in the foster home and feels safer. For Milva, we are looking for people with patience and understanding who are willing to let Milva settle in at her own pace and help solidify what she has just learned. An enclosed garden is absolutely necessary. It would be great if there could be a foster home or a foster home with the option to stay, so that Milva can travel to Germany on May 2, 2026. Whoever gives Milva a home will receive a sensitive, eager-to-learn, and particularly special female dog, who longs for safety, security, and love – and who will reciprocate with deep affection. Sie hat ihren wundervollen Charakter und Liebenswürdigkeit behalten.Als sie schließlich in ihrer privaten Pflegestelle in Spanien ankam, zeigte sich ihre große Unsicherheit deutlich. Sie war sehr ängstlich, bellte, sobald man sie ansah, und suchte sofort das Weite.Um ihr zu helfen, zur Ruhe zu kommen, wurde mit viel Engagement und Einfühlungsvermögen gehandelt. Mit Unterstützung einer engagierten Tierschützerin bekam MILVA ein Geschirr angelegt und wurde vorsichtig ins Haus gebracht. Dort geschah etwas Wunderschönes: Sie entspannte sich erstaunlich schnell, begann sich umzusehen und entdeckte sogar die Katze des Hauses – ganz ruhig und ohne jede negative Reaktion. Neugierig beschnupperte sie diese und akzeptierte sie sofort, sodass ein friedliches Zusammenleben problemlos möglich ist.Mittlerweile schläft sie entspannt durch und ist zuverlässig stubenrein. Sie hat sich gut in den Alltag integriert, kennt die Abläufe im Haushalt und bewegt sich inzwischen ruhig und ausgeglichen durch ihr Umfeld.Dennoch gibt es noch Momente, in denen ihre Unsicherheit durchkommt. Neue oder unbekannte Geräusche erschrecken sie manchmal noch, und dann reagiert sie mit Bellen – besonders, wenn sie etwas hört, aber nicht sehen kann. Das zeigt, dass sie weiterhin Zeit, Geduld und liebevolle Begleitung braucht.Das Laufen an der Leine gehört ebenfalls noch zu den Dingen, die MILVA lernen muss. In ihrer Pflegestelle wird bereits fleißig geübt, und sie macht stetig Fortschritte. Trotzdem muss man bedenken, dass MILVA bis jetzt nur einen Zwinger kannte. In der Pflegestelle hat sie sich an den Rhythmus gewöhnt und fühlt sich nun sicherer. Für MILVA suchen wir Menschen mit Geduld und Verständnis, die bereit sind MILVA in ihrem eigenen Tempo ankommen zu lassen und bereit sind ihr gerade erst Erlerntes zu festigen. Unbedingt notwendig ist ein eingezäunter Garten.
