Buddy ha trascorso tutta la sua vita in casa. È arrivato nell'area di Cambridgeshire da cucciolo, pieno di speranza, ed è diventato un animo dolce e sensibile che semplicemente vuole appartenere. Ma per nessuna colpa sua, Buddy si ritrova ora in una situazione in cui i suoi bisogni non possono più essere soddisfatti... e il suo mondo è diventato silenziosamente più piccolo. Al momento, Buddy viene lasciato in gabbia per periodi prolungati. Per un cane che vive meglio con persone intorno, questo è estremamente difficile. Ha difficoltà a stare da solo e soffre d'ansia, anche se trova conforto dalla presenza di un altro cane. Quando prova questa ansia può mostrare comportamenti distruttivi. Ciò che Buddy necessita veramente è una casa dove qualcuno c'è, dove può sentirsi sicuro e rassicurato. Buddy ha 5 anni e ancora tanto di vita e amore da dare. Vive con bambini ed è molto bravo con loro, dimostrando pazienza e gentilezza. Sarebbe molto beneficiato vivendo con un altro cane calmo e sicuro che possa guidarlo e rassicurarlo. Non è mai stato testato con i gatti. Come tanti cani, ha problemi con rumori forti e ha preso farmaci veterinari durante la stagione dei fuochi d'artificio. A passeggio, Buddy è una gioia. Gode dell'attività e prospererebbe in una casa che possa offrirgli esercizio regolare e avventure. Potrebbe tirare leggermente se vede un altro cane - vuole solo salutare - ma questo è gestibile e deriva dalla sua natura amichevole. A casa, Buddy è un compagno tranquillo. Non è esigente, ma ama l'affetto nel suo modo dolce. Verrà da te per un grattino o un solletico, spesso aspettando educatamente di essere invitato... e se smetti troppo presto, se ne andrà con un lieve sospiro - il suo sottile modo di dire "mi stavo divertendo".

Buddy has spent his whole life in a home. He came to the Cambridgeshire area as a puppy, full of hope, and has grown into a gentle, sensitive soul who simply wants to belong. But through no fault of his own, Buddy now finds himself in a situation where his needs can no longer be met… and his world has quietly become smaller. Right now, Buddy is being left crated for long periods. For a dog who thrives on having people around, this is incredibly hard. He struggles with being alone and experiences anxiety, though he does take comfort from the presence of another dog. When he experiences this anxiety he can display destructive behaviours. What Buddy truly needs is a home where someone is there, where he can feel safe and settled. Buddy is 5 years old and still has so much life and love to give. He lives with children and is wonderful with them, showing patience and kindness. He would really benefit from living with another calm, confident dog who can help guide and reassure him. He hasn’t been tested with cats. Like a lot of dogs, he struggles with loud noises and has been on vet medication around fireworks season. Out on walks, Buddy is a joy. He enjoys being active and would thrive in a home that can give him regular exercise and adventures. He may pull a little if he spots another dog - he just wants to say hello - but this is manageable and comes from his friendly nature. At home, Buddy is a quiet companion. He isn’t demanding, but he loves affection in his own gentle way. He’ll come over for a scratch or a tickle, often waiting politely to be invited… and if you stop too soon, he’ll wander off with a soft sigh - his subtle way of saying “I was enjoying that.”
