Poldi is an 11-year-old tomcat—and despite his age, one hardly notices his years. On the contrary: his nature is curious, playful, and full of life. At first, Poldi is a bit cautious. He takes everything in, needs time to settle in. But once the ice is broken, he shows what he’s really made of: an absolute heartthrob. One who seeks the closeness to his "own" person, prefers to lie right on top of him, and can never get enough of cuddles. Poldi potters around, distributes small love bites, and purrs, as if it were his most important task in life—a true cuddle king. And he’s not just cuddly but also smart: Poldi “tells” stories, reacts attentively to his person, and follows him through the day almost like a little dog. Optically, he’s also something special: with his shortened tail, he resembles a Japanese Bobtail mix and brings with it yet another unique note. Currently, Poldi still lives with his sister. Unfortunately, the cohabitation is not ideal for both: while Poldi wishes nothing more than to cuddle and play together, his sister cannot stand it. This leads to recurring tensions. Therefore, Poldi is henceforth sought a new home—where both cats can finally find peace. Poldi originally came from the animal shelter La Linea in Spain and has lived in a foster home in Burg (Dithmarschen) since the end of January. For his new home, Poldi wishes either people with plenty of time, where he can be the center as a single cat— or he prefers social cats who reciprocate his closeness and playfulness. Suitable for apartment living with a balcony is enough for him, but outdoor access would also be possible if the surroundings are safe. Poldi is a tomcat who feels that a lot of love still needs to be given away. Perhaps that’s why he doesn’t just seek any place but exactly the person where he can finally belong forever. And also health-wise, Poldi comes with the best prerequisites: he has no health issues, is in top condition, microchipped, neutered, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is 180€. Poldi ist ein 11 Jahre alter Kater – und trotzdem merkt man ihm sein Alter kaum an. Im Gegenteil: Sein Wesen ist neugierig, verspielt und voller Leben. Am Anfang ist Poldi ein bisschen vorsichtig. Er schaut sich alles in Ruhe an, braucht Zeit, um anzukommen. Aber wenn das Eis einmal gebrochen ist, zeigt er was wirklich in ihm steckt: ein absoluter Herzenskater. Einer, der die Nähe zu „seinem“ Menschen sucht, sich am liebsten direkt auf ihn drauflegt und gar nicht genug bekommen kann von Streicheleinheiten. Poldi tretelt, verteilt kleine Liebesbisse und schmust, als wäre es seine wichtigste Aufgabe im Leben – ein echter Superkuschler. Und er ist nicht nur verschmust, sondern auch klug: Poldi „erzählt“ gerne, reagiert aufmerksam auf seinen Menschen und folgt ihm fast wie ein kleiner Hund durch den Alltag. Optisch ist er übrigens auch etwas Besonderes: Mit seinem verkürzten Schwanz erinnert er an einen Japanese Bobtail-Mix und bringt damit nochmal eine ganz eigene Note mit. Aktuell lebt Poldi noch mit seiner Schwester zusammen. Leider ist das Zusammenleben für beide nicht ideal: Während Poldi sich nichts sehnlicher wünscht, als gemeinsam zu kuscheln und zu spielen, kann seine Schwester damit nichts anfangen. Das führt immer wieder zu Spannungen. Schweren Herzens wird daher für ihn ein neues Zuhause gesucht – eines, in dem beide Katzen endlich zur Ruhe kommen dürfen. Poldi kommt ursprünglich aus dem Tierheim La Linea in Spanien und lebt seit Ende Januar auf einer Pflegestelle in Burg (Dithmarschen). Für sein neues Zuhause wünscht sich Poldi entweder Menschen mit viel Zeit, bei denen er als Einzelkater im Mittelpunkt stehen darf – oder er zieht zu sozialen Katzen, die seine Nähe und Spielfreude erwidern. Wohnungshaltung mit Balkon reicht ihm völlig aus, aber auch Freigang wäre möglich, wenn die Umgebung sicher ist. Poldi ist ein Kater, bei dem man spürt, dass noch ganz viel Liebe in ihm steckt, die er verschenken möchte. Vielleicht sucht er gerade deshalb nicht einfach irgendeinen Platz – sondern genau den Menschen, bei dem er endlich für immer ankommen darf. Und auch gesundheitlich bringt Poldi beste Voraussetzungen mit: Er hat keine gesundheitlichen Auffälligkeiten, ist topfit, gechipt, kastriert und geimpft. Seine Schutzgebühr beträgt 180€.
