Roger è un cane di taglia media, incrociato, di circa 9-10 anni. È stato salvato da un canile romeno da Safe Rescue e ora si trova in una famiglia di accoglienza a Taverham, Norfolk. Quando è stato notato da Safe Rescue sembrava spossato e logoro e loro hanno capito che dovevano agire velocemente, spostandolo in cima alla lista per portarlo in salvo. Tuttavia, una volta in Inghilterra, invece di essere ai suoi ultimi giorni, Roger è stato rinnovato e ora ha un entusiasmo per la vita! Si diverte a fare le sue passeggiate e cerca di giocare con gli altri cani nella sua famiglia di accoglienza. È comprensibilmente molto indipendente, che potrebbe essere interpretato come testardo, ma non è sorprendente avendo vissuto senza contatto umano per tanto tempo. Ha l'aspetto di voler interagire con i suoi umani seguendoli in giro, e sembra rilassato e comodo in un ambiente domestico. Potrebbe volerci un po' di tempo prima che apprezziamo l'affetto sotto forma di carezze e abbracci, quindi i nuovi proprietari devono essere preparati a essere pazienti, ma in breve tempo siamo certi che saranno ricompensati con il più meraviglioso nuovo membro della famiglia. Roger vorrebbe un altro amico cane nel suo nuovo ambiente e potrebbe vivere con gatti e bambini rispettosi di età superiore ai 12 anni. Safe Rescue ha una politica per cui tutti i cani adottati da loro devono indossare una guinzaglio a scivolo durante le passeggiate. Si prega di chiedere solo informazioni sui cani di Safe Rescue se siete d'accordo nell'utilizzare sempre un guinzaglio a scivolo - i guinzagli estensibili non sono accettati da Safe Rescue. Roger is a super, medium sized cross breed, aged around 9 – 10 yrs old. He was rescued from a Romanian pound by Safe Rescue and is now in a foster home in Taverham, Norfolk. When he was spotted by Safe Rescue he was looking beaten and weathered and they knew they had to act quickly, so moved him to the top of the list to bring to safety. However, once in the UK, far from being on his last legs, Roger was rejuvenated and now has a zest for life ! He is enjoying his walks and attempting to play with the other dogs in his foster home. He is understandably quite independent, which maybe construed as stubborn, but this is hardly surprising, having lived without human contact for so long. He does appear to want to interact with his humans as he follows them around, and seems relaxed and comfortable in a home environment. It may take him a while to appreciate affection in terms of strokes and cuddles, so his new owner(s) should be prepared to be patient, but in a short time we are sure that they will be rewarded with the most fabulous new family member. Roger would like another doggy chum in his new home and could live with cats and respectful children aged 12+. Safe Rescue have a policy that all dogs adopted from them must wear a slip lead on walks. Please only enquire about Safe Rescue dogs if you are happy to always use a slip lead – extendable leads are not acceptable to Safe Rescue. All dogs have to be collected and a crate must be used.
