Despite his young age, Scooby has already experienced the worst of humans. Tied to the shelter's fence with a simple rope, alone and without any explanation, this is how we found him—conditions that are both shocking and unacceptable. At only 8 months old, Scooby had already been used for breeding. His former owner preferred to keep the puppies to sell and got rid of Scooby by giving him to a relative... until he ended up with us. Today, Scooby is a very energetic, playful, and curious young dog who will need a lot of physical and especially mental exercise to channel all this vitality. He loves running, thinking, learning, and exploring. He gets bored quickly, and a passive living environment will not suit him. He can sometimes redirect his stress or excitement onto the leash, which highlights the importance of a caring and structured approach. He will need adopters who are present, patient, familiar with canine behavior, and especially capable of understanding that a dog like Scooby needs a real life project: stability, activity, gentleness, and consistency. In short, Scooby is not a "turnkey" dog, but he has a huge heart to offer to whoever will love him for what he is.

Malgré son jeune âge, Scooby a déjà connu le pire de l’être humain. Attaché à la clôture du refuge avec une simple corde, seul et sans aucune explication, c’est dans ces conditions aussi choquantes qu’inacceptables que nous l’avons découvert. À seulement 8 mois, Scooby avait déjà été utilisé pour la reproduction. Son ancien propriétaire a préféré garder les chiots pour les revendre et s’est débarrassé de Scooby en le donnant à une connaissance… jusqu’à ce qu’il atterrisse chez nous. Aujourd’hui, Scooby est un jeune chien très énergique, joueur et curieux, qui aura besoin de beaucoup de dépense physique et surtout mentale pour canaliser toute cette vitalité. Il adore courir, réfléchir, apprendre, explorer. Il s’ennuie vite, et un cadre de vie trop passif ne lui conviendra pas. Il peut parfois rediriger son stress ou son excitation sur la laisse, d’où l’importance d’un accompagnement bienveillant et structuré. Il lui faudra des adoptants présents, patients, connaissant les codes canins, et surtout capables de comprendre qu’un chien comme Scooby a besoin d’un vrai projet de vie : stabilité, activité, douceur et cohérence. En résumé, Scooby n’est pas un chien “clé en main”, mais il a un cœur immense à offrir à qui saura l’aimer pour ce qu’il est.
