Sai cosa? Non vede niente, ma Sue non se ne importa davvero e questo è un fatto. Sa esattamente da dove proviene un rumore, dove sei nella stanza e cosa sta succedendo intorno a lei solo usando i suoi altri sensi. E lo fa così bene che ti sorprenderai davvero a pensare che possa vedere. Questo è vero per la maggior parte dei gatti, specialmente quelli nati ciechi. Non provi pietà per loro e non hanno bisogno di aiuto per muoversi in casa. Anzi, spesso sembrano persino più capaci dei gatti vedenti, perché imparano a utilizzare gli altri sensi al massimo. Guardarli godersi un mondo che non possono vedere, ma che vivono così pienamente, è qualcosa che non ti stancherai mai di fare. Sue è uno di quei gatti. Sale, gioca, insegue i giocattoli, sembra che possa vedere e come se mancasse qualcosa. È arrivata al rifugio con sua sorella Muffin e i suoi occhi erano in condizioni così cattive che non potevano essere salvati. Quindi sono stati rimossi per liberarla dal dolore costante e dalle infezioni. È davvero divertente guardarla giocare con gli altri gatti. Quando si mettono in quelle piccole battaglie, Sue finisce spesso per vincere. Sue sarà una splendida compagna. Affettuosa, giocosa e piena di vita. Una volta che si abituerà alla sua casa e mapparerà il suo spazio, vivrà una vita felice con la famiglia che la sceglierà.

You know what? She may not see anything, but Sue truly doesn’t mind and that’s a fact. She can tell exactly where a sound is coming from, where you are in the room, and what’s happening around her just by using her other senses. And she does it so well that you honestly start to think she can see. This is true for most cats, especially those born blind. You don’t feel sorry for them, and they don’t need help getting around the house. In fact, they often seem even more capable than sighted cats, because they learn to use their other senses to the fullest. Watching them enjoy a world they can’t see, yet experience so fully, is something you never get tired of. Sue is one of those cats. She climbs, plays, chases toys, it’s as if she can see and as if nothing is missing. She came to the shelter with her sister Muffin, and her eyes were in such a bad condition that they couldn’t be saved. So both were removed to free her from constant pain and infections. It’s actually quite funny to watch her play with the other cats. When they get into those mock little fights, Sue often ends up winning. Sue will make a wonderful companion. Affectionate, playful, and full of life. Once she settles into her home and maps out her space, she will live a happy life with the family who chooses her.
