Topanga è una bellissima e dolce ragazza che ci è arrivata da un allevatore per iniziare il suo viaggio verso la casa d’amore per sempre che merita tanto. Quando è arrivata per la prima volta, era sopraffatta, nervosa e incerta rispetto al mondo intorno a lei. Da allora, ha davvero iniziato a uscire dal guscio e la sua fiducia è cresciuta molto, così come la sua fiducia nelle persone. Una volta che conosce qualcuno, ora si avvicinerà felicemente a te per chiederti un po' di coccole e attenzione e ti darà anche un piccolo bacio sulla mano mentre agita la coda. È la cosa più dolce. Topanga si affida agli altri cani per comfort e fiducia e cercherà una casa dove c'è un cane maschio gentile che è più grande di lei e può essere suo amico e prenderla sotto la sua ala. Si intende bene con altri cani e condivide egregiamente la sua cuccia con i cani maschi, ma non può essere adottata con cani femmine. Non ha mai vissuto in una casa prima, quindi i suoi adottatori dovranno essere gentili e comprensivi mentre si abitua e impara tutto sulle vita in casa e nuove competenze come l'addestramento alla pipì in casa. Potrebbe condividere la sua casa con adolescenti esperti di cani che sappiano apprezzare e capire che avrà bisogno di un'intro duplice dolce e tranquilla nella casa e il proprio spazio per abituarsi. Da quando è arrivata da noi, ha imparato a camminare con guinzaglio e ama molto andare in passeggiata o scendere nel recinto di gioco. Cammina perfettamente con il guinzaglio e ora si eccita molto quando vede il suo guinzaglio e vorrebbe trovare una casa attiva. Ha fatto un lungo percorso in poco tempo, e sappiamo che c'è un futuro ancora più luminoso in attesa di lei. Ciò che serve ora è la possibilità di vivere il comfort di una casa per sempre, dove può continuare a svilupparsi e finalmente scoprire cosa significa veramente "vivere in casa". Topanga is a beautiful and gentle girl who came to us from a breeder to begin her journey toward the loving forever home she so deserves. When she first arrived, she was overwhelmed, nervous, and unsure of the world around her. Since, then she has really started to come out of her shell and her confidence has grown so much, as well as her trust in humans. Once she knows you, she will now happily approach you to ask for some fuss and attention and will even give you a little kiss on the hand while wagging her tail. It is the sweetest thing. Topanga does rely on other dogs for comfort and confidence and will be looking for a home where there is a kind male resident dog who is larger than her and can be her friend and take her under their wing. She gets on well with other dogs and shares her kennel wonderfully with male dogs, but cannot be homed with female dogs. She has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be kind and understanding as she settles in and learns all about home life and new skills like house training. She could share her home with dog-savvy teenagers who can appreciate and understand that she will need a gentle, quiet introduction to the home and her own space to settle in. Since arriving with us, she has learned to walk on a lead and absolutely loves to go for walks or to go down to the play yard. She walks beautifully on a lead and now gets really excited when she sees her lead and would love to find an active home. She has come such a long way in a short time, and we know there’s an even brighter future waiting for her. What she needs now is the chance to experience the comfort of a forever home, where she can continue to flourish and finally learn what “home life” truly means. Topanga arrived with a very inflamed ear, which has now been treated, and she also has some scars on her face - quiet reminders of a past that we can’t undo, but one that she’ll leave behind with the love and care she’s now receiving.
