Venus è una ragazza molto spaventata che è arrivata da un allevatore per trovare la sua casa per sempre. Quando è arrivata per la prima volta, era così preoccupata che voleva scappare e nascondersi quando ci vedeva, ma ha iniziato a fare progressi lenti ma costanti. Ha trascorso gli ultimi mesi in gabbia, iniziando gradualmente a prendersi cura della sua nuova vita, ma recentemente ha compiuto un grande passo e si è trasferita in una meravigliosa casa di accoglienza dove può sperimentare la vita in una casa per la prima volta. Questo la aiuterà a progredire e a prepararla per trovare la sua casa per sempre. Non riesce a stare sola senza la compagnia di un altro cane e poiché non è ancora abituata a camminare al guinzaglio, avrà bisogno di avere sempre un cane in casa mentre gli altri cani fanno le passeggiate. Venus non aveva mai vissuto in una casa prima di andare in accoglienza, ma si sta ambientando bene e sta già facendo molto bene con l'addestramento a casa ed è rimasta pulita finora. Non cammina ancora al guinzaglio o con una cingia, e probabilmente ci vorrà molto tempo prima che sia comoda nel cominciare a imparare. Quando sarà pronta, dovrà iniziare a indossare una cingia in casa e nel giardino, prima di passare a camminare al guinzaglio nel giardino. Venus is a very scared girl who has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she first arrived, she was so worried that she would run away and hide when she saw us, but she has started to make slow but steady progress. She has spent the last several months in kennels, slowly settling in and starting to learn all about her new life, but she has recently made a big step and moved to a wonderful foster home where she can get to experience life in a home for the very first time. This will help her progress and get her ready to find her forever home. She is still very worried about humans and isn't brave enough to approach us just yet, but if you sit quietly and drop a treat in front of you, she will now come and gently take the treat from nearby. She clearly isn't used to being handled and finds this quite stressful at the moment, but this is something her fosterer will work on getting her used to. Venus will be looking for a calm and quiet, adult only home and would need adopters who have experience with scared ex-breeding dogs and who will allow her to settle in at her own pace without any pressure or expectations. She relies heavily on other dogs for comfort and reassurance and will be looking for a multi dog home with confident resident dogs to be her friend and companion and take her under their wing. She cannot cope without the company of another dog and as she isn't walking on a lead yet, she will need to always have a dog home with her, while the other dog/s are out on walks. Venus had never lived in a home before moving to foster, but she is settling in well and is already doing very well with her house training and has been clean so far. She doesn't walk on a lead or harness just yet and it will likely be quite a while before this is something she will be comfortable with starting to learn about. When she's ready, she will need to start by wearing a harness around the home and garden, before progressing to walking on a lead around the garden. Venus' journey may not be a quick one, but it will be so rewarding when you see her reach new milestones like wagging her tail for the first time and in the right home, she will truly blossom. Venus has been treated for sore ears and she has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
