Coco is a loving mixed-breed Podenco who just wants to finally live a great life. Found in Spain, this dog already has good foundations and a lot of love to give. Due to his past, Coco is not an easy dog; there will be a lot of work to do regarding meetings with unfamiliar people because Coco can be reactive and aggressive towards some of them as well as towards children. He reacts strongly to the veterinarian because he does not tolerate handling. Following an incident with the veterinarian, Coco will need to be placed in a calm environment, with an experienced owner who has good knowledge of dogs. A training follow-up will be mandatory to ensure control over this dog and to correct any undesirable behavior. He will also have to wear a leash at all times. We strongly recommend the use of a muzzle to avoid any incidents. His strengths: - very kind to humans once a bond is formed - still very lively for his age - very good basic training - handles being alone (does not bark, does not destroy) Important to know: - to be placed without other animals and without children, interactions with other animals of the same species need to be worked on, recommendations listed above. Coco is a joyful, intelligent, and affectionate companion, perfect for someone wishing to share walks and moments of closeness. With much patience for his areas to work on, he will become an exceptional and loyal dog. His contact person will present him in more detail during our meeting. Coco est un croisé Podenco plein d’affection, qui ne demande qu’à vivre enfin une belle vie. Trouvé en Espagne, ce loulou à déjà de bonnes bases et beaucoup d’amour à offrir. De part son passé, Coco n’est pas un chien facile, il y aura beaucoup de travail à effectuer au niveau des rencontres avec les personnes inconnues car Coco peut se montrer réactif et agressif avec certaines d’entres elles et également avec les enfants. Il réagit fortement au vétérinaire car il ne supporte pas les manipulations. Suite à un incident avec le vétérinaire, Coco sera à placer dans un environnement calme, chez un maître ayant de bonnes connaissances cynologiques. Un suivi éducatif sera obligatoire afin de veiller à la maitrise de ce loulou et de corriger tout comportement indésirable de sa part. Il aura également le port de laisse obligatoire. Nous conseillons fortement le port de la muselière afin d’éviter tout incident. Ses atouts : – très gentil avec les humains une fois le lien créé – encore très vif pour son âge – très bonnes bases d’éducation – supporte la solitude (n’aboie pas, ne détruit pas) A savoir : – à placer sans autres animaux et sans enfants, ententes avec ses congénères à travailler, préconisations listées ci-dessus Coco est un compagnon joyeux, intelligent et attachant, parfait pour un adoptant souhaitant partager balades et moments de complicité.
