De verzorger van Colin heeft 'Een dag in het leven' geschreven over Colins tijd in de verzorging! "Hallo, Colins dagen zijn meestal hetzelfde. Hij reageert goed op routine. De dag begint met een ochtendwandeling en daarna naar huis voor ontbijt. Hij kalmeert meestal na het eten en doezelt een beetje in zijn bed in mijn kantoor. Later in de ochtend zit hij op de bank en kijkt naar alles wat buiten het raam gebeurt. Tijdens het lunchuur gaan we op de tweede wandeling van de dag. Hij is op dat moment meestal erg opgewonden en krijgt de zoomies door het huis terwijl ik mijn laarzen en jas aantrek. Na ons wandelingetje kijkt hij me aandachtig eten, hopend dat er iets lekkers komt zijn kant op! Meestal doezelt hij weer een paar uur op. In de middag gaan we meestal in de tuin en spelen. Hij houdt van tuggen wanneer hij zin in heeft, maar hij is erg sterk en wint altijd! Als het weer niet mooi is blijven we binnen en spelen of geef ik hem een langdurig kauwspel of een horenspeld, dat hij erg leuk vindt. Na energie verliezen doezelt hij weer een uur of zo tot ik klaar ben met werken. Dan gaan we op de derde wandeling van de dag en naar huis voor het avondeten. ’s Avonds eindigt hij meestal weer met de horenspeld en dan kalmeert hij goed. Hij houdt van knuffelen en om je warmte te stelen, dus hij gaat graag bij je op de bank zitten in de avond." Colin is een 4-jarige Staffordshire bull terrier-kruising die op zoek is naar een liefdevol thuis. Hij houdt van tijd doorbrengen met zijn favoriete mensen en is blij om nieuwe vrienden te maken! Colin is een super slim jongen en houdt ervan om de dag door te brengen naast zijn Caterpillar-speelgoed of naar buiten te kijken en de wereld te zien passeren. Colin houdt van dichtbij zijn mensen op de bank liggen en tv kijken en is beschreven als "zeer gemakkelijk in de omgang" door zijn verzorgers. Hij zoekt een ervaren volwassen thuiskomst waar de eigenaars meestal thuis zijn om hem te helpen zich te settelen. Hij wil een tuin van zijn eigen hebben waar hij kan snuffelen en spelen – vooral met zijn Caterpillar! Hij is een actieve jongen die een geweldige, gezellige maatje zal zijn. Colin's foster carer has written ' A Day in the Life' about Colin's time in foster! "Colin's days are mostly the same as he seems to respond well to routine. The day starts with a morning walk first thing and then back home for breakfast. He usually settles down after eating and has a bit of a snooze in his bed in my office. Later on in the morning, he likes to sit on the sofa and watch everything that goes on outside the window. At lunchtime, we go out for the second walk of the day. He is usually quite excited by this time and gets the zoomies around the house whilst I'm getting my boots and jacket on. After our walk, he watches me intently eat my lunch hoping for some treats to come his way! He usually settles down again for a snooze after this for a couple of hours. Mid afternoon we typically go in the garden and have a play. He likes tug of war when the mood takes him, but he is very strong so always wins! If the weather isn't nice then we'll stay inside and have a play or I'll give him a long lasting chew or an antler, which he very much enjoys. After expelling some energy, he will settle again and snooze for another hour or so until I finish work. We will then go for the 3rd walk of the day and then home for dinner. In the evenings, he usually tucks in to the antler again for a bit, but will then settle down quite well. He does enjoy a cuddle and stealing your warmth, so will happily join you on the sofa in the evenings." This affectionate boy absolutely adores spending time with his favourite humans and is always happy to make new friends along the way. Colin is a clever lad with a gentle, easy-going nature. His perfect day involves curling up beside his beloved Caterpillar toy, watching the world go by from the window, or snuggling as close as possible to his humans on the sofa for a cosy TV session. His foster carers describe him as “very easy going” and a joy to have around the home. While Colin enjoys his relaxing moments, he also has a playful and active side and would love a garden of his own where he can explore, sniff around, and enjoy playtime , especially with his treasured Caterpillar toy! Colin is looking for an experienced, adult-only home with adopters who can spend most of the day with him while he settles in and builds his confidence. He is also looking to be the only pet in the home. In return, he promises to be a loving, loyal, and fun companion who will bring plenty of affection and character into your life.
