Sembra rispondere bene alla routine. La giornata inizia con una passeggiata al mattino presto e poi torna a casa per la colazione. Dopo aver mangiato, si sistema e fa un breve sonnellino nel suo letto nel mio ufficio. Più tardi la mattina gli piace sedersi sul divano e guardare tutto ciò che avviene fuori dalla finestra. A pranzo usciamo per la seconda passeggiata della giornata. A quel punto è solitamente molto eccitato e fa le "zoomies" intorno alla casa mentre mi metto gli stivali e la giacca. Dopo la passeggiata, osserva attentamente mentre mangio il pranzo sperando che gli venga dato qualcosa da mangiare! Di solito si sistema nuovamente per un sonnellino per alcune ore. Nel pomeriggio andiamo solitamente nel giardino e giochiamo. Gli piace giocare a tirare la corda quando gli prende la voglia, ma è molto forte e vince sempre! Se il tempo non è bello restiamo dentro e giochiamo o gli do un osso duraturo o un corno, che apprezzò molto. Dopo aver speso energia, si sistemerà nuovamente per un sonnellino per un'ora o due finché non finisco il lavoro. Poi usciamo per la terza passeggiata della giornata e torniamo a casa per la cena. Di sera, di solito si dedica nuovamente al corno per un po', ma poi si calma bene. Gode di un abbraccio e ruba il tuo calore, quindi si unirà volentieri a te sul divano durante la sera." Colin è un crocio tra Staffordshire bull terrier di 4 anni che cerca una casa amorevole. Adora trascorrere del tempo con le sue persone preferite e è più che felice di fare nuove amicizie! Colin è un ragazzo molto intelligente e ama passare la giornata rannicchiato accanto al suo peluche o guardando fuori dalla finestra mentre il mondo passa. Colin adora rannicchiarsi accanto ai suoi umani sul divano il più vicino possibile a loro e guardare la TV ed è stato descritto dai suoi famigliari come "molto facile da gestire". Cercasi una casa solo per adulti esperti dove gli adulti siano presenti con lui la maggior parte del giorno per aiutarlo a calmarsi. Colin's foster carer has written ' A Day in the Life' about Colin's time in foster! "Hi Colin's days are mostly the same. He seems to respond well to routine. Day starts with a morning walk first thing and then back home for breakfast. He usually settles down after eating and has a bit of a snooze in his bed in my office. Later on in the morning he likes to sit on the sofa and watch everything that goes on outside the window. At lunch time we go out for the second walk of the day. He is usually quite excited by this time and gets the zoomies around the house whilst im getting my boots and jacket on. After our walk, he watches me intently eat my lunch hoping for some treats to come his way! He usually settles down again for a snooze after this for a couple of hours. Mid afternoon we typically go in the garden and have a play. He likes tug of war when the mood takes him, but he is very strong so always wins! If the weather isn't nice then we'll stay inside and have a play or I'll give him a long lasting chew or an antler, which he very much enjoys. After expelling some energy he will settle again snooze for another hour or so until I finish work. We will then go for the 3rd walk of the day and then home for dinner. In the evenings he usually tucks in to the antler again for a bit, but will then settle down quite well. He does enjoy a cuddle and stealing your warmth, so will happily join you on the sofa in the evenings." His foster carers describe him as “very easy going” and a joy to have around the home. While Colin enjoys his relaxing moments, he also has a playful and active side and would love a garden of his own where he can explore, sniff around, and enjoy playtime , especially with his treasured Caterpillar toy! Colin is looking for an experienced, adult-only home with adopters who can spend most of the day with him while he settles in and builds his confidence.
