💕 Poppy’s Next Chapter 💕 Some cats are simply born to be mums… and Poppy is one of them. 💕 Beautiful Poppy is a 3-year-old neutered female who came into the care of RSPCA Bluebell Ridge from the same multi-cat household as Chester. When she arrived, Poppy quickly showed us just how caring and loving she could be. Not only had she been a wonderful mum herself, but she also took two orphaned kittens, Peony and Petal, under her wing and became their devoted surrogate mum. 🥰 Poppy adored her surrogate babies, but now the time has come for her to regain her independence. She has been separated from Peony and Petal, giving the kittens the opportunity to develop their own personalities and confidence, while Poppy can enjoy some well-earned peace and quiet and focus on being Poppy again. 🐾 Poppy is also a special girl who needs a little extra care. Sadly, she suffers from a condition called stomatitis, which causes her gums to become inflamed and sore. Thankfully, she is responding really well to treatment. A monthly injection helps reduce the inflammation and keeps her much more comfortable. ❤️ We understand that ongoing treatment can be a concern for potential adopters, so we are happy to offer assistance with this for Poppy’s future adopter. We can discuss the support available in more detail with any interested applicants. Poppy absolutely loves a fuss and enjoys spending time with people, although she can be a little startled by sudden movements. She’ll flourish with a patient family who will give her the time and space to settle and build confidence. She would like a home with no other pets and could live with older, sensible children aged 15 years and over. Poppy has spent so much of her life caring for others.
