🐢💙 Meet Sidney – our adorable “Tortoise Cat”! 💙🐢 Two-year-old Sidney is searching for a special someone who will see past his shy exterior and give him the chance to truly blossom. Sidney came to RSPCA Bluebell Ridge after his owner sadly had to make the difficult decision to surrender him when they could no longer care for him. When Sidney first arrived, he spent much of his time tucked safely away in his box, earning himself the affectionate nickname “Tortoise Cat” because he loves retreating into his little “shell.” While he still enjoys the comfort of his hiding place, we’ve discovered what a sweetheart he really is. Offer Sidney a gentle fuss and you’ll soon be rewarded with little head bumps, happy flops and the cutest rolls as he soaks up every bit of affection. He may not always be the first cat to greet you, but once he trusts you, his loving nature shines through. Sidney is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where he can be the only pet and settle in at his own pace. Because he can take a little time to come out of his shell, we’re offering him through our Foster to Adopt scheme. This gives his new family the opportunity to foster him for a month, allowing him to settle into home life before making the commitment to adopt. If you have a calm home, a patient heart and room for a gentle soul like Sidney, you could be the person he’s been waiting for.
