Smartie LOVES everyone he meets, dogs and humans included. He has such a zest for life, it is infectious and you can't help but feel joyful in his presence. Smartie came to us as a stray, so we don't have background information on him, however, what we have seen this far has been wonderful. Smartie loves to zoom around, in true sighthound style, super fast and intentional, it is very enjoyable to watch! He would love to do this with another dog and to have to have a good play with them, however, due to his zest, he needs a tolerant dog to match his energy. Smartie is a one year old Lurcher who is 100 miles per hour is the best possible way! He is looking for a home where his humans can be around a lot of the time initially to help settle him in and learn the lay of the land, as we don't believe Smartie has lived in a home environment before. If living with another dog, they would need to be tolerant of a young, excitable, playful dog whilst also helping him learn about the big wide world. Due to Smartie's energy and his jumping up in excitement (we are working on 4 paws on the ground and this will need to be continued!) any children in the home would need to be of secondary school age.
