Alle Smokie vraagt is een zachte plek om te rusten, een tuin om te verkennen en een liefdevol hart dat haar liefheeft. Als dank zal ze stilte gezelschap, trouwheid en zo veel liefde geven. Smokie is een prachtige 11-jarige Akita met een zachtaardig karakter, op zoek naar een liefdevol thuis waar ze haar gouden jaren in comfort en vrede doorbrengt. Na een leven lang gezelschap verdient zij een rustige plek om haar eigen te noemen – ergens waar ze echt kan ontspannen, zich veilig voelt en gewaardeerd wordt. Ze geniet nog steeds van haar dagelijkse wandelingen, blijft met plezier lopen en neemt de tijd om te ruiken en haar omgeving te verkennen. Terwijl speelgoed niet echt haar ding meer is, branden haar ogen nog steeds voor een lekkere hap of een speciaal snoepje – de snelste weg naar haar hart! Smokie zou liever de enige hond in het huis zijn, maar kan wel wandelvrienden hebben als ze onderweg zijn, en kan leven met kinderen van 11 jaar en ouder die haar rustige natuur kunnen respecteren.

Smokie is a beautiful 11 year old Akita with a gentle soul, looking for a loving home to spend her golden years in comfort and peace. After a lifetime of companionship, she deserves a quiet place to call her own and somewhere she can truly relax, feel safe, and be cherished. She still enjoys her daily walks, happily plodding along and taking her time to sniff and explore her environment. While toys aren’t really her thing anymore, Smokie’s eyes still light up for a tasty treat or a special snack which is the quickest way to her heart! Smokie would prefer to be the only dog in the home but could have walking friends when out and about, and can live with lower primary school aged children who can respect her relaxed nature. Smokie is fully housetrained and her foster carer describes her as a pleasure to care for. She's also quite happy spending a few hours alone with no issues. Smokie has previously lived with a cat and could do again, following gradual and slow introduction.
