Ruby, a poodle cross rescue girl was born in July 2023 and is an absolute sweetheart. Registered as a poodle cross on her microchip, she’s a tall, elegant young dog with a gentle, affectionate nature. She enjoys her walks, loves exploring new scents and is always ready to lean in for a cuddle. Since arriving with us, Ruby has settled beautifully into kennel life. She enjoys the company of the other dogs here and is happy to play with them, showing a lovely, friendly side once she feels secure. She’s sociable in a calm, steady environment and gains confidence from predictable routines and kind handling. Because she is still building her confidence, we would be looking for a home with potentially one other dog only. Ruby did have issues in her original home with other dogs. A calm, friendly companion who won’t overwhelm her. She thrives with gentle reassurance and does best when she has space to take things at her own pace. Once she bonds with her person, she is incredibly loving and loyal. Ruby would suit adults or older, dog‑savvy children who understand that she’s a sensitive soul and needs time to settle. A peaceful home where life isn’t too hectic will help her continue to grow in confidence. She enjoys her walks but prefers quieter places or quieter times of day, where she doesn’t have to navigate too many busy situations. A secure garden with fencing of at least five feet, ideally six, will give her a safe space to potter, play and unwind. With patience, kindness and steady routines, this poodle cross rescue will blossom into the devoted companion she’s meant to be.
