Vigorous, quick, and always alert. Rosa doesn't miss a detail and certainly not a moving bird. For the right person, she's a dream dog. Energy, intelligence, and a nose that's always on. Rosa is a Bosnian lady, 6.5 years old (10 kg) with an enormous amount of energy. She is social, smart, and loves people, but also a real hunter. That hunting instinct has gotten her into trouble in the past. Cats, birds, anything that moves... Rosa immediately goes "on." That's part of her type of dog, but it does require clear guidance. A hunting dog at heart. Rosa is strongly focused on cats and anything with wings. She has even escaped a few times to go after her prey. This means: She cannot be off-leash in open areas. She must stay safely tethered. Even some fences are no guarantee for her. She is smart. Creative. And surprisingly athletic. Letting her off can be done in completely safe, well-enclosed environments, but always with 100% certainty. She loves training. We work with Rosa on impulse control: take a look, then bring attention back to her handler. This is difficult for her, sometimes she still chooses the hunt over a reward. But she wants to learn. You can see that. Rosa is part of the Dutch Cell Dogs program, where she shows how smart and eager to learn she is. She picks things up quickly, but can sometimes react nervously or excitedly when something exciting happens. What really makes her happy? Moving. Digging. Running next to the bike. Running together. Getting energy out. That's how she really comes alive. That is her outlet literally. At home with Rosa. Rosa loves people. She wants to go to everyone and greets you enthusiastically (sometimes a bit too enthusiastic). She jumps for joy, which still needs to be worked on, especially around children. She can live with another dog and finds dogs very nice. She is used to being alone (up to about five hours), but this needs to be gradually rebuilt in a new home. Eating? No problem. She isn't picky. She loves bone toys, but during chewing she likes to be left alone. What is Rosa looking for? Rosa is looking for: An active household Someone who likes to train a lot of movement Clear boundaries Understanding of her hunting instinct She cannot be off-leash in open areas, and this must be truly accepted by her new owner. Children are welcome, but supervision is needed because of her enthusiasm. Why she is a long-term resident. Rosa is not a quiet couch potato. She is a working dog in a small jacket. Geen probleem. Ze is niet kieskeurig.Botjes vindt ze heerlijk, maar tijdens het knagen wil ze graag met rust gelaten worden.
