Adopter Sally

I need a calm and quiet home where I can settle in at my own pace. I need a larger, resident male dog to help me settle in and I have met cats fine. I would like a secure garden to spend time in. I am learning to walk on a lead and harness, but it's still very new for me. I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training. I am being treated for conjunctivitis. Sweet little Sally has come to us from a breeder to begin her search for a loving forever home. When she first arrived, she was understandably feeling a little worried to find herself here, but she has been trying so hard to be brave and has really started to come out of her shell. Sally is growing into the funniest and cutest little dog, and for such a small girl she certainly has a big personality that is beginning to shine through. Her confidence continues to grow, and she now happily enjoys receiving fuss and attention from people she trusts. Sally has even started her harness training and is although it's still very new to her, she is enjoying going on walks and exploring. Sally is a super little dog who is just waiting for someone to give her the time, patience, and love she needs to continue building her confidence. With the right home and lots of kindness, we are sure she will blossom into a wonderful companion. She will be looking for a calm, kind and understanding home with adopters who are around most of the time and who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. She has never lived in a home before, so everything in a home environment will be new to Sally, so she will need gentle guidance as she continues learning about everyday life and learns new skills such as house training. Sally absolutely loves other dogs and gains a lot of comfort from having canine friends around her. She will need another dog in her new home to help her feel confident, but she would prefer the company of a smaller male dog. Sally can be a little bossy with female dogs, so she is best suited to living with a male companion. She has met a cat at the rescue fine (please see the video in her gallery!) and so maybe possibly be able to be homed with a dog savvy cat. This sweet girl just needs someone to give her the chance she deserves, and we are sure she will repay your love tenfold. Sally has a lick granuloma on her left front leg, which is healing, and an old scar on her left hip. She has had an umbilical hernia repair at the time of her spay and is being treated for bilateral conjunctivitis.
