Marita przyszła do schroniska wraz z mamą, Miladą, a później dowiedzieliśmy się, że jej brat, Leonard, oraz siostry, Arlo i Wendy, zostały porzucone w schronisku zaledwie kilka dni wcześniej. Miladę wykopano jako szczeniaka, a sąsiedzi jej poprzedniego właściciela przez rok próbowali się z nią zaprzyjaźnić. Po tym, jak urodziła Maritę i jej rodzeństwo, udało im się założyć na nią obrożę i przyprowadzić wszystkich do schroniska. Marita wyrosła na dużą, piękną suczkę i nadal jest z nami do dziś.

Marita came to the shelter with her mum, Milada, and we later found out that her brother, Leonard and sisters, Arlo and Wendy were dumped at the shelter only days prior. Milada had been thrown out as a pup and the neighbours of her previous owner had spent a year trying to befriend her. After she had given birth to Marita and her siblings they were able to get a collar on her and bring them up to the shelter. Marita grew into a big, beautiful girl and is still with us today.
