Marita az anyjával, Miladával érkezett a menedékhelyre, később pedig kiderült, hogy a testvérét, Leonardot, valamint a nővéreit, Arlót és Wendyt is néhány nappal korábban tették ki a menedékhelyre. Milada kölyökkorában került ki az utcára, az előző gazdája szomszédjainak pedig egy évig kellett próbálkozniuk, hogy megbarátkozzanak vele. Miután megszülte Marítát és a testvéreit, sikerült nyakörvet adni rá, és felhozni őket a menedékhelyre. Marita nagy, gyönyörű lánnyá cseperedett, és ma is nálunk van.

Marita came to the shelter with her mum, Milada, and we later found out that her brother, Leonard and sisters, Arlo and Wendy were dumped at the shelter only days prior. Milada had been thrown out as a pup and the neighbours of her previous owner had spent a year trying to befriend her. After she had given birth to Marita and her siblings they were able to get a collar on her and bring them up to the shelter. Marita grew into a big, beautiful girl and is still with us today.
