Maya, mieszańców macka, wraz z Leoniem, została przyprowadzona do schroniska w bardzo szczególny sposób, przez naprawdę dziwnych ludzi. Oba psy były mocno uspokajane, pod wpływem leków, wydawało się, że te starsze pary zdobyły je w szpitalu weterynarii. Psy musiały zostać przewiezione na wózkach, tak mocno pod wpływem były. Poza tym, że przywieziono psy w bardzo niewłaściwy sposób, ludzie potem uciegli, a jedyną nieufną informacją, jaką mamy, jest to, że zdaje się, że Maya i Leon zostali zostawieni na terenie sąsiada. Oba są wielkimi, puszystymi polarnikami, którzy lubią być w pobliżu ludzi, ale jednocześnie są wystarczająco niezależni, aby samodzielnie przebywać, lub zajmować się własnymi sprawami w psich parkach, bez potrzeby ciągłej towarzyszy. Maya jest słodka i radosna, i często dochodzi do Ciebie, żeby przytulić się podczas Twojego czasu poza domem z nią. Niezależnie od jej wielkości, chodzi bardzo ładnie i spokojnie na smyczy, a jej obecność jest przyjemna, nie nadmiernie, jak czasem wiąże się z tyloma wielkości psami. Maya i Leon są bardzo podobne pod względem wyglądu, więc uważamy, że są ze sobą powiązani w jakiś sposób. Oni opiekują się sobą nawzajem i grają razem, choć nawet ich gra jest całkiem niskiej energii i spokojna. Mimo że Leon ma bardziej dominującą obecność, Maya jest bardziej podporządkowana i skromna. Oczywiście byłoby świetnie, jeśli obydwoje mogliby przenieść się do domu wiejskiego razem, ale nie jest to absolutny konieczność. Maya jest również dostępna do adopcji indywidualnej, jako jedyny pies w domu, gdzie mogła by spędzać większość czasu z człowiekiem, albo do domu z innym psem (w tej chwili preferowane są mężczyźni, ponieważ Maya jeszcze nie była testowana z kobietami, ale może być testowana na żądanie). Jeśli w rodzinie jest inny pies, ona jest zupełnie zgodna na spędzanie godzin samotnie, tylko patrząc na dziedzinę, drzemki na trawie. Jej wysokość w grzbiecie to trochę ponad 70 cm, co czyni ją naprawdę dużą, piękną, miłą, serdeczną dziewczyną.

Maya the Mastin-Mix, together with Leon, were brought to the shelter in a very particular way, by really strange people. Both of the dogs were heavily sedated, under drugs, apparently calming pills that the older couple had obtained from a veterinary. The dogs had to be wheeled in with carts, that's how heavily under influence they were. Aside from the fact that they were brought to the shelter in a very incorrect manner, the people then ran away, and the only piece of untrustworthy information that we have, is that apparently Maya & Leon were left at their neighbor's property. They are both huge fluffy polar bears, who love to be around humans, but at the same time are also independent enough to stay alone, or do mind their own business in the dog parks, without needing constant companionship. Maya is sweet and cheerful, and she likes to come to you for cuddles every now and then during your time outside with her. Regardless of her size, she walks very nicely and calmly on the leash, and her presence is pleasant, not overwhelming, as sometimes is associated with this size of dogs. Maya and Leon are very similar in their appearance, so we believe they are related in some way. They care a lot for each other, groom each other and play together, though even their play is quite low-energy and calm. While Leon has more of a dominant presence, Maya is more submissive, and modest. Of course it would be great if the two of them could move to a country home together, but it is not an absolute must. Maya is also available for an individual adoption either as an only dog of a home, where she could spend most of the time together with her human, or to a home with another dog (at the moment males preferred, as Maya has not yet been tested with females, but can be tested upon request). If there is another dog in the family, she is totally fine to spend hours alone, just watching the yard, snoozing on the grass. Her shoulder height is a bit over 70cm, making her really a big, lovely, kind-hearted girl.
