Teddy to średnio-duży mieszaniec w wieku około trzech do czterech lat. Teddy trafił do nas niedawno z Bośni, gdzie od czasu szczenięcia przebywał w schronisku. Jest pierwszym z trzech rodzeństw, który przyjedzie do nas, pozostali przybędą, gdy jego adopcja zwolni miejsce w opiece. Teddy to bardzo godny chłopak, który cieszy się życiem w Wielkiej Brytanii. Spacer to dla niego absolutna oświecenia, a na jego twarzy widać radość i zdziwienie, gdy po raz pierwszy może zobaczyć życie poza schroniskiem. Jest trochę zawstydzony nowymi ludźmi, ale kiedy się zna, lubi bycie w centrum uwagi. Chciałby mieć towarzysza psa w swoim stały dom, ale byłby ok w samotności, jeśli dałby mu się trochę więcej czasu na przyzwyczajenie. Teddy jest spokojny i szczęśliwy w domu i mógłby żyć z uczciwymi dziećmi powyżej dziesięciu lat. Ten pies przeszedł testy z kotami, więc może żyć z kotami znającymi psy. Teddy is a medium to large crossbreed aged around four to five years old. Passed confident cat testing. Needs a confident resident dog. Adult home needed Teddy came into our care from Bosnia in February 2025 where he’d previously resided in a shelter since he was a puppy. He was the first of three siblings to travel to us, the others were supposed to travel to us when his adoption created a space in foster but sadly he’s never had a single application to date as I type this. Teddy is a bit of an anxious Angus sadly and will need a very quiet and settled home. If he was a human he’d be being tested for autism or similar because anything out of his routine sends him into a state of confusion. He is not in an ideal setting at the moment because his multi dog foster home leaves little scope for regimental routine, in fact no two days are remotely the same! He loves the people he knows and he is happy to see them but strangers are a bit worrying for him. He loves his walks and time running free in the enclosed free but can panic if anyone is walking behind him so city life and built up areas are not going to work for him. When things are calm and settled he is a sweet and loving boy but when there is activity that’s out of the norm he will whine, pace and panic. That’s not any kind of inconvenience or problem to us but it’s not nice for him to feel that anxiety on a regular basis we’d live to see him somewhere he can feel relaxed the majority of the time. Teddy is a playful boy and will need a confident canine buddy living with him on a permanent basis. That buddy can be any age or personality but he couldn’t live with another “worrier” because that would just feed his anxiety and it help either dog. Teddy is interested in the safe rescue cat and likes to lick him, if he were to live with a cat it would also need to be confident and up for being washed by a giant eejit. He would need an adult family home, not because he is a danger to any children but just for the more settled home life without too much coming and going. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Policy When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate. Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure.
