Teddy is een middelgrote tot grote kruising van ongeveer drie tot vier jaar oud. Teddy is onlangs bij ons in verzorging gekomen uit Bosnië, waar hij sinds zijn puppytijd in een dierenasiel heeft gewoond. Hij is de eerste van drie broers en zussen die naar ons komen, de andere zullen komen wanneer zijn adoptie ruimte vrijmaakt in het verzorgingsnetwerk. Teddy is een heel waardig jongen die het VK leuk vindt. Wandelingen zijn voor hem eenvoudigweg een absolute openbaring en je ziet gewoon de blijheid en verbazing op zijn gezicht als hij de wereld buiten een dierenasiel ontdekt. Hij is een beetje terughoudend met nieuwe mensen, maar houdt van aandacht als hij je goed genoeg kent. Hij zou graag gezelschap hebben van een andere hond in zijn eindhuis, maar zou ook goed kunnen leven als enige hond als er een beetje extra tijd wordt gereserveerd voor hem om zich te settelen. Teddy is rustig en gelukkig thuis en kan samenwonen met respectvolle kinderen van tien jaar of ouder. Deze hond heeft de kattest gehaald, dus hij kan met hondvaardige katten leven. Teddy was in verzorging bij Norwich Norfolk. Als je geïnteresseerd bent, stuur dan een bericht of bel tussen 9:00 en 17:00 uur maandag tot vrijdag of tussen 9:00 en 16:00 uur zaterdag. Adoptiekosten vanaf 1 december 2025 zijn Puppies die al gevoerd zijn en alle volwassen honden: £430. Ongevoerde puppies met een spay/neuter contract: £530 (je krijgt een korting van £100 zodra je ons bewijs van voering stuurt). Oudere honden (10+ jaar): £150–£250 (afhankelijk van leeftijd en individuele behoeften). Adoptiebeleid Bij het adopteren van een hond van Safe Rescue moet je altijd een sliplead gebruiken. Dit houdt je hond veilig: je nieuwe hond zal nerveus zijn en je niet vertrouwen en je weet niet welke situaties je hond misschien kunnen storen. Als je hond in paniek raakt, is een sliplead de enige manier om ervoor te zorgen dat je hond niet ontsnapt (veel honden kunnen ontsnappen uit een halsband en/of vleugel). Het duurt minstens 3-6 maanden voor je hond zich heeft ingezet en je je hond volledig kent (langer voor nervouse honden). De sliplead moet TEGENWOORDIG tijdens deze inzetperiode worden gebruikt. Zelfs nadat je hond zich heeft ingezet, is het veiligst om de sliplead te gebruiken in situaties waarin je hond misschien bang wordt (bijvoorbeeld bezoeken aan nieuwe plekken, rondom onbekende personen, bij de dierenarts), en in situaties waar verwachte triggerfactoren kunnen optreden (bijvoorbeeld rond bonfire night). Nervouse honden moeten altijd een sliplead dragen als back-up veiligheidsmaatregel. De sliplead is een veiligheidsapparaat en mag NOOIT worden gebruikt als trainingssysteem. Het gebruik van de lead om druk uit te oefenen op de nek van de hond is schadelijk. Als je hond aan de lead trekt, kunnen wij je adviseren over trainingstechnieken die geen schade veroorzaken. Nadat je hond zich heeft ingezet, kun je overwegen om een halsband (tezamen met de sliplead) te gebruiken als je hond comfortabel is met het passen van de halsband. De meeste halsbanden zijn niet ontsnappingsbestendig, maar halsbanden met een band achter de ribben (bijv. Ruffwear Webmaster of Perfect Fit Harnesses) zijn veiliger. Retractabele / uitneembare lijnen mogen nooit gebruikt worden op onze honden. Geadopteerde honden moeten opgehaald worden van de organisatie en rechtstreeks naar huis vervoerd worden in een kooi. Heinen en poorten moeten minimaal 1,5 meter hoog zijn en veilig zijn. Alle honden zijn gevacificeerd, gemicrochipt en gevoerd (tenzij de hond te jong is om te voeren). Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate. Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered).

Teddy is a medium to large crossbreed aged around four to five years old. Passed confident cat testing. Needs a confident resident dog. Adult home needed Teddy came into our care from Bosnia in February 2025 where he’d previously resided in a shelter since he was a puppy. He was the first of three siblings to travel to us, the others were supposed to travel to us when his adoption created a space in foster but sadly he’s never had a single application to date as I type this. Teddy is a bit of an anxious Angus sadly and will need a very quiet and settled home. If he was a human he’d be being tested for autism or similar because anything out of his routine sends him into a state of confusion. He is not in an ideal setting at the moment because his multi dog foster home leaves little scope for regimental routine, in fact no two days are remotely the same! He loves the people he knows and he is happy to see them but strangers are a bit worrying for him. He loves his walks and time running free in the enclosed free but can panic if anyone is walking behind him so city life and built up areas are not going to work for him. When things are calm and settled he is a sweet and loving boy but when there is activity that’s out of the norm he will whine, pace and panic. That’s not any kind of inconvenience or problem to us but it’s not nice for him to feel that anxiety on a regular basis we’d live to see him somewhere he can feel relaxed the majority of the time. Teddy is a playful boy and will need a confident canine buddy living with him on a permanent basis. That buddy can be any age or personality but he couldn’t live with another “worrier” because that would just feed his anxiety and it help either dog. Teddy is interested in the safe rescue cat and likes to lick him, if he were to live with a cat it would also need to be confident and up for being washed by a giant eejit. He would need an adult family home, not because he is a danger to any children but just for the more settled home life without too much coming and going.
