Condutores de uma estrada principal em Northumberland repararam na aparência de dois potros num campo remoto junto à estrada e chamaram o RSPCA. Um jovem potro estava em estado extremamente magro, o outro um jumento mais velho estava magro e coberto de piolhos, com uma ferida antiga não tratada. Todos os esforços para encontrar um dono falharam e, considerando o estado extremamente desnutrido de Paddy, o potro, ambos foram levados para cuidados. One young colt, was in an extremely emaciated state, the other an older stallion was lean and covered in lice, with an old untreated leg wound.All attempts to find an owner failed and given the severely malnourished state of Paddy the colt in particular, they were both taken into care.Paddy had a very tough time indeed and nearly didn’t make it on more than one occasion.
