I need a calm and quiet home where I can settle in at my own pace. I will need a kind resident dog to take me under their wing. I have never met cats. I would like a secure garden to spend time in. I’ve never been on walks before and will need a gentle introduction. I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training. I have some hormonal alopecia, but this should grow back with time. 08-06-26 Opal has come to us from a breeder and is now searching for a loving forever home where she can finally discover what it means to be a cherished companion. This tiny, dinky little girl is feeling a little worried and overwhelmed at the moment, but she is trying ever so hard to be brave. When you first meet her, Opal can be quite timid and unsure, but she enjoys gentle fusses and, once she gets to know you, her sweet personality starts to shine through. Before long, she becomes your best friend and is more than happy to sit on your lap and have a cuddle. Opal is looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who have plenty of time to devote to her and who will allow her to settle in at her own pace. She will need patience, understanding and lots of TLC as she learns that the world is not such a scary place. We would consider homing her with dog savvy older teenagers. She takes great comfort from the company of other dogs and relies on them for confidence, so she will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home. Having a canine friend by her side will help her navigate new experiences and settle into family life much more easily. Opal has never lived in a home before, so her adopters will need to be kind and patient as she learns all about home life and house training. She will also need to learn how to walk on a lead and harness, starting slowly and building her confidence as she goes. Opal is a truly lovely little girl who just needs someone to believe in her. With time, patience and plenty of love, we think she is going to adore being someone's special friend. Most of all, she would love a lap of her very own to snuggle up on and call home. She has some hormonal alopecia, which should grow back in time once she has been spayed. Opal has a travel document. Opal has been given the Gift of Life by Steve Gosney Through the generosity of a Gift of Life sponsor, this dog was able to leave behind an uncertain future in Ireland and find safety and care at Many Tears.
