Apesar do seu início difícil, Ratatouille está a prosperar ao aprender a experimentar o mundo do seu próprio modo. Resgatámos este pequeno guerreiro depois de o terem encontrado em estado desolador e levado imediatamente ao veterinário. Um dos seus olhos tinha sido gravemente danificado antes do nascimento, por isso teve de ser removido imediatamente. O outro olho também estava ferido e não sabíamos se ele alguma vez voltaria a enxergar. Diz-se que o Dr. Scott Miller visitava na altura e gentilmente nos ajudou a avaliar e diagnosticar o pequeno Ratatouille. Com a orientação especializada dele, efectuámos todos os testes possíveis – FIV, FeLV e todos os suspeitos habituais que podem causar danos in utero – mas felizmente, Ratatouille deu negativo para todos eles. Agora, com o pequeno grau de visão no seu olho restante, ele está a aprender a navegar o mundo através da memória muscular, confiança e amor. Ele ligou-se muito bem com Akindi e com o nosso filho Iggy, encontrando alegria, segurança e brincadeira no seu novo lar. Apesar de tudo o que perdeu, Ratatouille está a prosperar – curioso, carinhoso e cheio de vida! Despite his rough start, Ratatouille is thriving as he learns to experience the world in his own way We rescued this tiny warrior after he was found in a heart-breaking state and taken straight to the vet. One of his eyes had been severely damaged before birth, so it had to be removed immediately. His remaining eye was also injured, and we weren’t sure if he would ever see again. It just so happens that Dr. Scott Miller was visiting at the time and he kindly helped us assess and diagnose little Ratatouille. With his expert guidance, we ran every test we could — FIV, FeLV, and all the usual suspects that can cause in-utero damage — but thankfully, Ratatouille tested negative for them all. Now, with the small amount of vision in his remaining eye, he’s learning to navigate the world through muscle memory, trust, and love. He’s bonded beautifully with Akindi and our son Iggy, finding joy, safety, and play in his new home. Despite everything he’s lost, Ratatouille is thriving — curious, cuddly, and full of life!
