Samira é uma fêmea de Podenco bela, ativa, vibrante e muito carinhosa, que veio do abrigo Pavlevas na área de Monda/Guaro, que precisa fechar por causa da má saúde do principal cuidador, e nossa equipe de abrigo está tentando ajudar os cães a encontrar um lar antes que o local precise realmente ser abandonado completamente... Samira cresceu em um ambiente extremamente social com outros cães, pois no Pavlevas os cães vivem em um grande grupo, chegando até 80 cães em um grupo. Samira viveu principalmente ao ar livre, então ela ainda precisa se acostumar com a vida em casa depois de ser adotada. Ela gosta de passear com voluntários e anda bem presa à coleira. Aqui no abrigo ela vive junto com um jovem Podenco, que sairá do abrigo em breve, e esperamos que Samira não fique aqui por muito mais tempo... Samira gosta especialmente de outros cães machos, e embora também possa viver com fêmeas, quando vive com outras fêmeas, ela parece preferir ser a rainha do grupo. Samira também pode ser um único cão da família, pois é muito focada nos humanos e prefere passar tempo com as pessoas, mas ter um amigo canino em casa certamente a apoiará enquanto ela descobre uma nova vida e passa por todas as experiências de mudar para um mundo diferente do que ela conhecia até agora. Samira não é tímida, embora tenha um lado muito suave. Quando ela se aproxima de você para um carinho, ela abaixa-se ao chão e coloca a cabeça para baixo. Mas quando não te viu há algum tempo e está super feliz em te ver, ela pula ao redor de você. Samira escuta e aprende bem, então também estaríamos confiantes em reabilitá-la para uma família com crianças um pouco mais velhas e educadas. Ela tem interesse pela vida selvagem e gosta de correr atrás de aves, mas não de forma obsedada, mais como um cervo elegante correndo em um campo. Ela também pode viver em um ambiente suburbano ou até nas bordas de uma cidade/vila, pois ela não tem medo e sempre encara a vida com uma atitude positiva, pronta para aventuras! A altura dos ombros de Samira é de 52 cm.

Samira is a beautiful active, lively, very affectionate Podenco girl, who is coming from Pavlevas shelter in Monda/Guaro area which needs to shut down due to the poor health of their main caretaker, and our shelter team is trying to help the dogs find a home before the place really needs to be left behind completely.... Samira has been growing up in a VERY dog-social environment as in Pavlevas the dogs live in a huge pack all together, even up to 80 dogs in a group. Samira has been living mostly outdoors, so he still needs to get used to life indoors once he would be adopted. She loves to go for walks with volunteers and walks nicely on the leash. Here in the shelter she lives together with a special Podenco boy, who is leaving the shelter soon, and we hope Samira will not stay too much longer... Samira especially likes other male dogs, and even though she could also live together with females, then living with other females, she seems to prefer to be the queen bee of the group. Samira could also be a single dog of the family, as she is very human-focused and absolutely prefers to spend time with the human, but having a canine friend at home will for sure support her when she is discovering a new life and when she goes through all the experiences of moving to a different world than she has known so far. Samira is not shy, even though she has a very soft side to her. When she approaches you for cuddles, she gets lower to the ground and puts her head down. But when she hasn't seen you for a while, and she is super happy to see you, then she is jumping all around you. Samira listens and learns well, so we would also be confident in rehoming her to a family with a bit older dog-educated children. She is interested in wildlife and likes to run after birds, but not in an obsessed way, more like a graceful deer running on a field. She could also potentially live in a sub-urban environment or even on the edge of a city/town, as she is not fearful, and always approachs life with a positive attitude, ready for adventure! Samira's shoulder height is 52cm.
