Shimi is a giant butterfly cross rabbit who was loved and well cared for by her family. However, she had to be entrusted to us along with her friend Haiiro because her family could no longer keep them in good conditions and preferred to let them go to ensure their well-being. Haiiro was much older, and he was adopted in a context that suited him perfectly! Shimi is still up for adoption. As soon as you enter the room, Shimi comes running, observes, explores... She is very interested in what's around her and shows great curiosity. However, she makes her decisions at her own pace, including interactions with humans: she accepts petting when she feels like it, and clearly communicates otherwise. She can be scared of loud noises and will need a safe and reassuring environment. She tends to nibble, which is manageable, but it must be taken into account (we will protect the bookshelves). We are looking for a home with patient human(s) who will take the time to make her comfortable. Food will be a good way to build a bond: she is a food lover! This home must already be inhabited by a gentle and calm male rabbit with whom she can cohabitate. If this is not the case, it must be planned: Shimi needs the company of at least one fellow animal of the same species. It is recalled: the rabbit is a social animal and must live in at least pairs. We will accompany you in this process. Adoption is possible in Brittany and neighboring departments. ADPK will advise and support you to offer her an appropriate habitat. She is spayed, vaccinated and dewormed. She is in foster care in Saint Aubin d'Aubigné (35). Our rabbits do not live in cages, even partially. Shimi est une lapine croisée géante papillon qui était aimée et bien suivie par sa famille. Elle a cependant dû nous être confiée avec son copain Haiiro car sa famille commençait à ne plus pouvoir les garder dans des bonnes conditions et qui a préféré les laisser partir pour assurer leur bien être. Haiiro était beaucoup plus âgé, il a été adopté dans un contexte qui lui convenait parfaitement ! Shimi est toujours à l’adoption. Dès qu’on entre dans la pièce, Shimi accourt, observe, explore… Elle est très intéressée par ce qui l’entoure et se montre très curieuse. Elle prend cependant ses décisions à son rythme, y compris pour les interactions avec les humains : elle accepte les caresses quand elle en a envie, et le fait savoir clairement dans le cas contraire. Elle peut avoir peur des bruits forts et aura besoin d’un environnement sécurisé et rassurant. Elle a tendance à grignoter, c’est gérable, mais c’est à prendre en compte (on protégera les bibliothèques). Nous recherchons pour elle un foyer avec des humain·es patient·es qui prendront le temps de la mettre à l’aise. La nourriture sera un bon levier pour créer un lien : elle est gourmande ! Ce foyer devra être déjà habité par un lapin mâle doux et tranquille avec qui elle pourra cohabiter. Si ce n’est pas le cas, cela devra être en projet : Shimi a besoin de la compagnie d’au moins un congénère. On le rappelle : le lapin est un animal grégaire qui doit vivre au moins en duo. Nous vous accompagnerons dans cette démarche. L’adoption est possible en Bretagne et départements limitrophes. L’ADPK vous conseillera et vous accompagnera pour lui offrir un habitat adapté. Elle est stérilisée, vaccinée et déparasitée. Elle est en famille d’accueil à Saint Aubin d’Aubigné (35). Nos lapins ne vivent pas en cage, même de façon partielle.
