Uma segunda oportunidade para o nosso gato único, de três patas Simpática é a mais nova adição à família da nossa quinta. O percurso de resgate de Simpática não começou realmente connosco. Começou com outra associação fantástica chamada El Gato Negro, dirigida pela simpática Sylvia. Simpática teve um início muito difícil na vida e infelizmente teve que ter uma das patas amputada. Sylvia cuidou dela com muito amor e dedicação e devolveu-a à saúde. No entanto, acabou por se perceber que era muito difícil reabilitar Simpática. Devido à sua forma corporal e à falta de uma pata, ela tem dificuldades em manter o equilíbrio e a limpeza num areiro, o que tornou difícil o seu reabandono. Assim, Sylvia contactou-nos, pensando que a nossa instituição, com muita terra e a possibilidade de criar um espaço exterior seguro, poderia dar a Simpática melhores hipóteses de uma vida mais plena. Esperamos rehabilitá-la para que seja um gato que possa aproveitar liberdade, segurança e espaço como parte da família da quinta. Atualmente, ela está a viver com um dos nossos admiráveis voluntários que tem um jardim fechado e já está a começar a aprender a encontrar as suas patas, mesmo tendo apenas três. Por agora, Simpática também está a lutar contra uma infecção ocular, mas apesar de tudo o que já viveu, é incrivelmente carinhosa, incrivelmente fofa e já totalmente amada por todos nós. Esperamos que um dia encontre o seu lar para sempre. Mas se não for possível, prometemos dar-lhe a melhor vida que pudermos aqui. A second chance for our unique, three-legged kitten The newest addition to our finca family, the sweet, little Simpática's rescue journey didn’t actually start with us. It began with another amazing association called El Gato Negro, run by the lovely Sylvia. Simpática had a very difficult start in life and sadly had to have her leg removed. Sylvia cared for her with so much love and dedication and brought her back to health. However, it soon became clear that Simpática was very hard to rehome. Due to her body shape and missing leg, she struggles with balance and staying clean in a litter tray, which made traditional homing difficult. So Sylvia reached out to us, thinking that our charity, with lots of land and the possibility of creating a safe outdoor space, might give Simpática a better chance at a fuller life. Our hope is to rehabilitate her into a cat who can enjoy freedom, safety and space as part of the finca family. Right now, she’s staying with one of our wonderful volunteers who has a secure, enclosed garden and she’s already starting to learn to find her feet, even though she only has three of them. At the moment, Simpática is also fighting an eye infection, but despite everything she’s been through, she is incredibly cuddly, incredibly cute, and already completely loved by all of us. We hope one day she’ll find her forever home.
