Une seconde chance pour notre chaton unique, à trois pattes. La nouvelle addition à la famille de notre finca, Simpática est douce et petite. Son parcours de sauvetage n'a pas vraiment commencé avec nous. Il a commencé avec une autre association remarquable appelée El Gato Negro, dirigée par la charmante Sylvia. Simpática a eu un début de vie très difficile et a dû avoir une de ses pattes amputée. Sylvia l'a soignée avec beaucoup d'amour et de dévouement et l'a ramenée à la santé. Cependant, il est rapidement devenu clair que Simpática était très difficile à adopter. En raison de sa forme corporelle et de sa patte manquante, elle a des difficultés à garder son équilibre et à rester propre dans une litière, ce qui rendait l'adoption classique difficile. Alors Sylvia s'est tournée vers nous, en pensant que notre association, disposant de beaucoup de terrain et de la possibilité de créer un espace extérieur sécurisé, pourrait offrir à Simpática de meilleures perspectives pour une vie plus pleine. Notre espoir est de la rééduquer afin qu'elle puisse profiter de la liberté, de la sécurité et de l'espace en tant que membre de la famille de la finca. Pour l'instant, elle est chez l'un de nos merveilleux bénévoles qui a un jardin clos et elle commence déjà à apprendre à trouver ses pattes, même si elle n'en a que trois. Actuellement, Simpática lutte également contre une infection oculaire, mais malgré tout ce qu'elle a traversé, elle est extrêmement affectueuse, très mignonne et déjà totalement aimée de tous. Nous espérons qu'un jour elle trouvera une maison pour toujours. Mais si ce n'est pas le cas, nous promettons de lui offrir la meilleure vie possible ici. A second chance for our unique, three-legged kitten The newest addition to our finca family, the sweet, little Simpática's rescue journey didn’t actually start with us. It began with another amazing association called El Gato Negro, run by the lovely Sylvia. Simpática had a very difficult start in life and sadly had to have her leg removed. Sylvia cared for her with so much love and dedication and brought her back to health. However, it soon became clear that Simpática was very hard to rehome. Due to her body shape and missing leg, she struggles with balance and staying clean in a litter tray, which made traditional homing difficult. So Sylvia reached out to us, thinking that our charity, with lots of land and the possibility of creating a safe outdoor space, might give Simpática a better chance at a fuller life. Our hope is to rehabilitate her into a cat who can enjoy freedom, safety and space as part of the finca family. Right now, she’s staying with one of our wonderful volunteers who has a secure, enclosed garden and she’s already starting to learn to find her feet, even though she only has three of them. At the moment, Simpática is also fighting an eye infection, but despite everything she’s been through, she is incredibly cuddly, incredibly cute, and already completely loved by all of us. We hope one day she’ll find her forever home.
