In the shelter, we always introduce him to puppies. He tolerates them very well, which is rare for an adult dog; he puts them in their place very effectively when necessary, and once, when he didn’t understand us and it was evening, we saw him sleeping with one of the puppies curled up on him like it was normal. At home, although he is affectionate, he is quite independent; he stays and relaxes by himself, and when you come back from work, he might come to greet you and then go back to lie down in his spot.
