PomPom a fost lăsat legat de un post de stradă care duce spre adăpost, în noaptea întunecată, pe drumul mașinii. A fost găsit de un voluntar care a venit la lucru foarte devreme dimineața, încă în întuneric, și aproape că l-a lovit pe PomPom, pentru că acesta stătea brusc pe drumul îngust. În continuare purta curea, dar nu avea apă și nu putea pleca, era legat corect. PomPom avea un microcip provenind din Belgia, iar deși chipul nu este înregistrat aici în Andaluzia, de obicei nu am putea vedea proprietarul, am cercetat mai profund, ne-am pus în contact cu Belgia și am primit detalii privind proprietarul, sperând că a fost pur și simplu pierdut și poate familia lui este în Marbella pentru vacanță. Numele înregistrat era BoumBoum. Din păcate, proprietarul ne-a răspuns cu „Vă mulțumim pentru informație, dar îl puteți ține”. Astfel, PomPom a fost abandonat, respins de casă, de viața pe care o cunoștea. Din informațiile pe care le avem, el a trăit cu un bărbat și o femeie înainte. PomPom este un băiat groas, ușor supraponderal, și din această cauză, în momentul de față este puțin puternic la frânghie, totuși știe foarte bine cum să meargă la frânghie politicos. Deoarece a fost recent târât departe de tot ce știa, în momentul de față este puțin sceptic față de oamenii noi, și nu se simte confortabil cu oamenii care nu pot citi limbajul corporal al câinelui sau care nu respectă spațiul personal și încep imediat să atingă câinele peste tot. PomPom îi place oamenii care îi oferă un moment pentru a te verifica, să se relaxeze în prezența ta, apoi să îi ofere un bine scălciu. Adaugă un pic de pui la poveste, și prietenia e încheiată. Ia un moment pentru a forma o legătură cu un om în momentul de față, încă se uită în direcția străzii unde a fost legat, și unde probabil a văzut mașina umanului său plecându-l ultima dată. Totuși, știm că PomPom provine dintr-un mediu „normal” de casă, ceea ce înseamnă că probabil se va adapta rapid din nou la viața de casă. În momentul de față căutăm o casă pentru PomPom ca singur câine, însă cereri cu femei socializate calm pot fi, de asemenea, evaluate și testate. Nu cunoscând exact background-ul său, pentru moment nu-l vom reface în familii cu copii mici. Întrucât PomPom vine cu bagajul său de durere inimii, caută oameni cu experiență cu câini, care vor fi capabili să înțeleagă comunicarea sa și exprimarea sentimentelor sale, limitele, nevoile. Pentru adoptare în Spania, ar fi necesară o înregistrare PPP, pe care adăpostul o poate ajuta. PomPom este, de asemenea, disponibil pentru adoptare internațională. PomPom was left tied to a street post leading up to the shelter, in the middle of the night in the dark, on the car road. He was found by a volunteer who arrived to work very early in the morning, still in the dark, and almost drove into PomPom, because he suddenly was standing at the narrow road. He was still wearing his harness, but had no water, and could not leave, he was tied properly. PomPom had a microchip originating from Belgium, and even though the chip is not registrated here in Andalucia, so normally we would not be able to see the owner, we dug deeper, reached out to Belgium, and got the owner's details, hoping that he simply was lost, and maybe his family is in Marbella for holidays. His registrated name was BoumBoum. Sadly, the owner responded to us with "Thanks for the info, but you can keep him". So PomPom has been abandoned, rejected by his home, his life that he knows. From the info we have, he has been living with a man and a woman before. PomPom is a chunky boy, slightly overweight, and therefore at the moment a bit strong on the leash, though he knows very well how to walk on the leash politely. Having just recently been ripped away from all he knew before, he is at the moment a bit skeptical when it comes to new people, and doesn't feel comfortable with people who cannot read a dog's body language, or people who do not respect private space, and directly start to touch a dog all over. PomPom likes people who give him a moment to check you out, to relax in your presence, and then offer him a good butt scratch. Add some chicken to the story, and the friendship is sealed. It takes him a moment to form a bond with a human at the moment, he is still looking towards the direction of the street where he was tied up, and where he most likely saw the car of his human leaving him last. However, we know that PomPom is coming from a "normal" home environment, meaning that he would most likely very quickly settle back into home life again. At the moment we are looking for a home as a single dog for PomPom, however inquiries with a calm social female can also be considered and tested. Not knowing his background exactly, we will for the time being not rehome him to families with small children. As PomPom does come with his luggage of heartbrake, he is looking for dog-experienced humans, who will be able to understand his communication and his expression of feelings, boundaries, needs. For adoption in Spain, a PPP registration would be needed, which the shelter can help with. PomPom is also available for international adoption. His shoulder height is 63cm.
