Skadi a ajuns la noi fără microcip sau orice informații despre istoricul ei, în timpul în care sezonul de vânătoare s-a încheiat în Spania pentru an, deci probabil este un "rămas" din vânătoare. A fost găsită de un voluntar și adusă la adăpost. La început Skadi era foarte retrasă și evita contactul cu oamenii, dar acum se simte mult mai confortabilă în preajma oamenilor, deși nu este un câine de tipul celor care își arată afecțiunea prin alintare. Înaintează bine pe plasă și îi place să facă aventuri în natură cu voluntari, mai ales când are un prieten câine cu ea. În adăpost trăiește foarte armonios într-un grup cu alți câini, o femeie veselă și jucăușă și un mascul social Podenco. Cu Maus, îi plac să meargă la vânătoare împreună în tufărișuri, imediat ce ajung la parcul pentru câini, încep turul lor prin tufărișuri, și vei vedea doar cozi bătându-se în iarba înaltă. Dar, Skadi este foarte motivată de gustări, așa că atunci când deschizi punga cu gustări, ea va apărea lângă tine și va ieși nasul ei lung subțire, pentru a se asigura că primește cât mai multe gustări posibil. Încă nu am dus-o într-un mediu urban, dar văzând cum îi place să urmărească insectele în tufărișuri, putem presupune că ar dori să trăiască într-un mediu natural, fie în câmpie, fie în suburbii, aproape de câmpuri și păduri. Skadi ar dori cu siguranță să aibă deja două sau mai multe câini pregătite pentru ea în noul său locuință, pentru a-i arăta calea spre o nouă viață. Skadi este un podenco tipic cu interes față de șoareci, păsări, fluturi - o casă experimentată cu Podencos, Bretoni și acest tip de câini ar fi ideală! A fost deja testată pentru boli mediteraneene și este negativă pentru Leishmania. Înălțimea ei la șold este de aproximativ 48 cm.

Skadi arrived to us without a microchip or any background information, during the time that the hunting season ended in Spain for the year, so most likely she is a "leftover" from the hunters. She was found by a volunteers and brought to shelter. In the beginning Skadi was very shy and avoided contact with humans, but by now Skadi is feeling much more comfortable around humans, even though she is still not like a cuddling type of dog. She walks well on the leash and enjoys to go on nature adventures with volunteers, especially when she has a dog friend with her. In the shelter she lives very harmonously in a group with other dogs, one cheerful playful female and one social Podenco male. With Maus, they love to go hunting in the bushes together, as soon as they get to the dogpark together, they start their tour in the bushes, and you will only see their tails wagging in the high grass. But, Skadi is very snack-motivated, so when you open the snack bag, she will appear next to you and stick out her long slim nose, to make sure she gets as many snacks as possible. We have not yet been to a city environment with Skadi, but seeing how she enjoys hunting for bugs in the bushes, we can assume that she would most like to live in a nature environment, either on the countryside or in the suburbs, close to fields and forests. Skadi would definitely wish to have a second or more dogs already waiting for her at her new home, to show her the way into the new life. Skadi is a typical podenco with her interest towards mice, birds, butterflies - a home experienced with Podencos, Bretons and these types of dogs, would be ideal! She has already been checked for Mediterranean diseases and she is negative for Leishmania. Her shoulder height is approximately 48cm.
