Skadi chegou até nós sem microchip ou qualquer informação de fundo, durante o período em que a temporada de caça terminou na Espanha para o ano, então ela provavelmente é um "sobra" dos caçadores. Ela foi encontrada por um voluntário e trazida para o abrigo. No início Skadi era muito tímida e evitava contato com os humanos, mas agora Skadi se sente muito mais confortável perto das pessoas, embora ainda não seja do tipo cômico. Ela caminha bem presa à coleira e gosta de fazer aventuras na natureza com os voluntários, especialmente quando ela tem um amigo canino ao seu lado. No abrigo ela vive harmoniosamente em grupo com outros cães, uma fêmea animada e brincalhona e um macho Podenco social. Com Maus, eles adoram caçar nas arbustos juntos, assim que chegam ao parque canino, começam sua tour nos arbustos e você só verá suas caudas abanando no alto da grama. Mas, Skadi é muito motivada por snacks, então quando você abre a bolsa de snacks, ela aparece ao seu lado e estica seu nariz longo e fino, para garantir que receba o maior número possível de snacks. Ainda não levamos Skadi a um ambiente urbano, mas vendo como ela gosta de caçar insetos nos arbustos, podemos assumir que ela gostaria muito de viver em um ambiente natural, seja no campo ou nas proximidades de campos e florestas. Skadi certamente desejaria ter outro ou mais cães já esperando por ela em seu novo lar, para mostrar o caminho para a nova vida. Skadi é um Podenco típico com seu interesse por ratos, pássaros, borboletas - um lar experiente com Podencos, Bretões e desses tipos de cães seria ideal! Ela já foi testada para doenças mediterrâneas e é negativa para Leishmania. A altura dos ombros é aproximadamente 48cm.

Skadi arrived to us without a microchip or any background information, during the time that the hunting season ended in Spain for the year, so most likely she is a "leftover" from the hunters. She was found by a volunteers and brought to shelter. In the beginning Skadi was very shy and avoided contact with humans, but by now Skadi is feeling much more comfortable around humans, even though she is still not like a cuddling type of dog. She walks well on the leash and enjoys to go on nature adventures with volunteers, especially when she has a dog friend with her. In the shelter she lives very harmonously in a group with other dogs, one cheerful playful female and one social Podenco male. With Maus, they love to go hunting in the bushes together, as soon as they get to the dogpark together, they start their tour in the bushes, and you will only see their tails wagging in the high grass. But, Skadi is very snack-motivated, so when you open the snack bag, she will appear next to you and stick out her long slim nose, to make sure she gets as many snacks as possible. We have not yet been to a city environment with Skadi, but seeing how she enjoys hunting for bugs in the bushes, we can assume that she would most like to live in a nature environment, either on the countryside or in the suburbs, close to fields and forests. Skadi would definitely wish to have a second or more dogs already waiting for her at her new home, to show her the way into the new life. Skadi is a typical podenco with her interest towards mice, birds, butterflies - a home experienced with Podencos, Bretons and these types of dogs, would be ideal! She has already been checked for Mediterranean diseases and she is negative for Leishmania. Her shoulder height is approximately 48cm.
