Hamsters naturally create tunnels and nesting chambers, so we recommend at least 20 cm of suitable bedding throughout the enclosure, with deeper areas wherever possible. The wheel should allow her to run with a straight back to prevent discomfort and support her long-term health. Wheels need to be much bigger than people expect. A minimum size of 12 inches and up.
