Benji is a very cautious and mistrustful dog towards people. Even with those he knows, he needs time, distance, and clear signals that nothing bad will happen. He is not a dog who immediately throws himself into someone’s arms. He first observes, analyzes, and only then decides whether he can trust. We suspect that he previously lived in a very limited world, possibly escaping from a kennel and suddenly finding himself in a place full of stimuli, sounds, and unfamiliar situations. This overwhelmed him. Benji is not aggressive, but when he is very afraid, he may gnaw. This is his way of dealing with fear, not anger. Therefore, he cannot live with children and absolutely will not find a home that is pushy, loud, or full of expectations like “hug me because I want you to.” We are looking for a home for Benji that is peaceful, patient, and attentive. One that understands that trust is a process, not a push. Someone who gives him space, time, and a sense of safety. In the right hands, Benji has a chance to learn that the world is not always painful, and that a person can be good. This is not a “fixed” dog, but for someone who can read dog emotions and has a heart for working with fear, Benji can become an exceptional companion.

Benji to pies bardzo ostrożny i nieufny wobec ludzi. Nawet przy osobach, które zna, potrzebuje czasu, dystansu i jasnych sygnałów, że nic złego się nie wydarzy. Nie jest psem, który od razu rzuca się w ramiona. On najpierw obserwuje, analizuje i dopiero potem decyduje, czy może zaufać. Podejrzewamy, że wcześniej żył w bardzo ograniczonym świecie, możliwe, że uwolnił się z budy, a nagle trafił w miejsce pełne bodźców, dźwięków i obcych sytuacji. To go zwyczajnie przerosło. Benji nie jest agresywny, ale kiedy bardzo się boi, potrafi podgryzać. To jego sposób radzenia sobie z lękiem, nie złością. Dlatego nie może zamieszkać z dziećmi i absolutnie nie odnajdzie się w domu, który będzie wobec niego nachalny, głośny albo pełen oczekiwań typu „przytul się, bo ja tak chcę”. Szukamy dla Benjiego domu spokojnego, cierpliwego i uważnego. Takiego, który zrozumie, że zaufanie to proces, a nie przycisk. Kogoś, kto da mu przestrzeń, czas i poczucie bezpieczeństwa. W odpowiednich rękach Benji ma szansę nauczyć się, że świat nie zawsze boli, a człowiek może być kimś dobrym. To nie pies „na już”, ale dla kogoś, kto potrafi czytać psie emocje i ma serce do pracy z lękiem, Benji może stać się wyjątkowym towarzyszem.
