CoCo Bean2009 | Täckdäggig | Shetland X | Under 10hh CoCo Bean kom till oss i början av 2024 efter att ha utvecklat Equin Metabolt Syndrom (EMS) och Equins Cushing sjukdom med anfall av laminitis. Detta är tyvärr inte ovanligt för Shetlands. Här är historien hittills... Hans ägare älskade honom djupt men begränsningarna i hans livsstil på grund av sjukdomen hade lett till svårigheter att hantera och aggressiva beteenden. Alla blev rädda för hans oförutsägbara utbrott – särskilt när han blev upphetsad vid att vara i en åker. De har försökt hantera honom så gott de kunde men insåg att de saknade den erfarenhet som krävdes. Med ytterligare problem att ta hand om kontaktade de oss i desperation. Tyvärr, på grund av vår osäkra ekonomiska situation, kunde vi bara erbjuda hjälp, med ett avtal om att täcka de flesta av hans kostnader på lång sikt. Han är definitivt en liten terrorist men har lyckligtvis varit frisk och sund sedan han kom till oss. Vi arbetar fortfarande med hans "attitydjustering" – han tror att han är huvudmannen och utmanar alla andra hästar till en duel oavsett deras storlek. Gillar: Fillyar, mat och frihet. Dårar: Att ta sina dagliga mediciner och dela sin harem av fillyar med någon annan hingst.

CoCo Bean2009 | Spotted | Shetland X | Under 10hhCoco Bean came to us in early 2024 having developed Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) and Equine Cushing’s disease with bouts of laminitis.This is sadly not an unusual scenario for Shetlands.The story so far...His owners loved him dearly but the restrictions to his lifestyle because of disease, had led to difficulty in handling and aggressive behaviours.Everyone became quite scared of his unpredictable outbursts – especially when he became excited to be out in a field.They had tried their best to manage him appropriately but recognised that they lacked the experience needed.With additional issues to deal with, they contacted us in desperation.Unfortunately, because of our precarious financial position, we were only able to offer help, with an agreement to cover most of his costs long term.He is definitely a bit of a terrorist but has thankfully been fit and well since arrival.We are still working on his ‘attitude adjustment’ – he thinks he is the main man and will challenge any other horse to a duel no matter their size.Likes: Mares, food and freedomDislikes: Taking his daily meds and sharing his harem of mares with any other male hors
