CoCo Bean2009 | Macchiato | Shetland X | Sotto 10 hh CoCo Bean è arrivato da noi all'inizio del 2024 avendo sviluppato la Sindrome Metabolica Equina (EMS) e la malattia di Cushing nei cavalli con episodi di laminiti. Questo è purtroppo una situazione non insolita per i Shetland. La storia fino ad ora... I suoi proprietari lo amavano molto ma le restrizioni al suo stile di vita a causa della malattia avevano portato a difficoltà nel gestirlo e comportamenti aggressivi. Tutti erano diventati abbastanza spaventati dai suoi improvvisi scatti imprevedibili - soprattutto quando si eccitava a essere fuori in un campo. Avevano provato a gestirlo nel miglior modo possibile ma avevano riconosciuto di non averne l'esperienza necessaria. Con ulteriori problemi da affrontare, avevano contattato noi con disperazione. Purtroppo, a causa della nostra precaria situazione finanziaria, siamo stati in grado di offrire solo aiuto, con un accordo per coprire la maggior parte dei suoi costi a lungo termine. È sicuramente un po' un terrorista ma fortunatamente è stato in salute e benessere da quando è arrivato. Stiamo ancora lavorando al suo "aggiustamento di atteggiamento" - lui pensa di essere il principale e sfiderà qualsiasi altro cavallo a un duello indipendentemente dalla sua taglia. Piace: giumente, cibo e libertà Non piace: prendere le sue medicine quotidiane e condividere la sua harem di giumente con qualsiasi altro cavallo maschio

CoCo Bean2009 | Spotted | Shetland X | Under 10hhCoco Bean came to us in early 2024 having developed Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) and Equine Cushing’s disease with bouts of laminitis.This is sadly not an unusual scenario for Shetlands.The story so far...His owners loved him dearly but the restrictions to his lifestyle because of disease, had led to difficulty in handling and aggressive behaviours.Everyone became quite scared of his unpredictable outbursts – especially when he became excited to be out in a field.They had tried their best to manage him appropriately but recognised that they lacked the experience needed.With additional issues to deal with, they contacted us in desperation.Unfortunately, because of our precarious financial position, we were only able to offer help, with an agreement to cover most of his costs long term.He is definitely a bit of a terrorist but has thankfully been fit and well since arrival.We are still working on his ‘attitude adjustment’ – he thinks he is the main man and will challenge any other horse to a duel no matter their size.Likes: Mares, food and freedomDislikes: Taking his daily meds and sharing his harem of mares with any other male hors
