Nella är en mediumstor blandad ras och är ca 3 år gammal. Nella hittades i en skog i Rumänien av en veterinär när hon var valp tillsammans med sin bror och syster. Hon tog dem till sitt landsbygdsfolk och hoppades att någon skulle vilja ha dem, men ingen gjorde det. Då fick hon ett erbjudande om jobb i Österrike, som hon accepterade. Ingen av hennes vänner ville hjälpa henne med valperna, så hon slutligen bad våra kollegor vid hundräddningen Norge om plats på deras skyddsstation i Crivatu där de bodde i över ett år. Nella har nu varit i sitt brittiska fosterhem i flera månader där hon jobbar med sin skrämskaktighet men är nu redo att hitta sitt perfekta livsfolk. Nella är fortfarande en skrämskaktig och reserverad liten flicka men när hon känner dig är hon trevlig och kärleksfull. Hon älskar sin fosterfather och gillar ingenting mer än att få sin rygg och baka skrapade. Hon behöver ett hem med en annan hund som hon kan söka tröst och självförtroende från medan hon anpassar sig till sitt nya liv. Hon vill ha en lugn hemmiljö utan barn under tio år. Nella kan inte bo med katter. Nella fostrades nära Marlborough Wiltshire. Om du är intresserad, mejla eller ring mellan 9-17 mån–fre eller 9-16 lör. Adoptionsavgifter Från 1 december 2025 är Puppies redan kastrerade och alla vuxna hundar: £430. Okastrerade valpar på kastreringsavtal: £530 (du får en rabatt på £100 när du skickar oss bevis på kastrering). Äldre hundar (10+ år): £150–£250 (beroende på ålder och individuella behov). Återlämningsskäl & Allmänna villkor När du adopterar en hund från Safe Rescue MÅSTE du använda en slipled. Detta kommer att hålla din hund säker: din nya hund kommer att vara nervös och inte tro dig, och du kommer inte att veta vilka situationer som kan orsaka stress för din hund. Om din hund panikar så är en slipled den enda möjligheten att förhindra att din hund flyr (många hundar kan ta sig ut ur halsband och/eller väska). Det kommer att ta MINST 3-6 månader för din hund att anpassa sig och för dig att känna din hund fullt ut (längre för nervösa hundar). Slipleden MÅSTE alltid användas under denna anpassningsperiod. Även efter att din hund är anpassad är det säkrast att använda slipleden i situationer där din hund kan bli rädd (t.ex. besök av nya platser, runt okända personer, hos djurhuset), och i situationer där oventygliga stimuli kan uppstå (t.ex. runt brännar natt). Nervösa hundar kan alltid behöva bära en slipled som en säkerhetsåtgärd. Slipleden är en säkerhetsutrustning och MÅSTE aldrig användas som träningsverktyg. Att använda ledet för att trycka mot hundens hals skadar. Om din hund drar i ledet kan vi ge dig råd om träningsmetoder som undviker skada. När din hund är anpassad kan du överväga att använda en väska (tillsammans med slipleden) om din hund är bekväm med att man hanterar den när den är påplaceras. De flesta väskor är inte flyktfria, men väskor med en strumpa bakom ribbkanten (t.ex. Ruffwear Webmaster eller Perfect Fit Harnesses) är säkrare. Retraktionsleder får aldrig användas på våra hundar. Adopterade hundar måste hämtas från räddningen och transporteras direkt hem i en säker metallkasse. Grindar och stängsel måste vara minst 5 fot höga och säkra. It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a secure metal crate. Fences and gates must be 5foot minimum in height and secure.

Nella is a medium sized crossbreed and is around 3 years old. Nella was found in a forest in Romania by a vet when she was a pup, along with her brother and sister. She took them to her village and hoped that someone would want them, but no one did. She then received an offer of a job in Austria, which she accepted. None of her friends would help her with the puppies, finally she asked our colleagues at dog rescue Norway for a space at their shelter in Crivatu where they stayed for over a year. Nella has now been in her UK foster home for several months working on her shyness but is now ready to find her perfect forever home. Nella is still a shy and reserved little girl but once she knows you she is sweet and affectionate. She adores her foster Dad, and likes nothing more than having her back and bum scratched. She will need a home with another dog that she can seek comfort and confidence from whilst she adjusts to her new life. She would like a quietish home environment with no children under the age of ten. Nella cannot be home with cats. Nella fostered near Marlborough Wiltshire.
