Opal is a loving, playful little girl who really enjoys having her people around. She can be protective of her own things around other dogs in the home, that said, she is friendly with other dogs when out and about on walks. Opal is used to being left for longer periods, but she would ideally like someone who is around for most of the day to give her the companionship and love she’s looking for. She can become quite clingy, so her new family will need to continue working on her independence and gently remind her that it’s okay to have some time apart, even when you’re at home. If you don’t mind the sound of lots of squeaking, Opal could be your perfect match! She absolutely loves her squeaky toys and balls, and a basket full of them would definitely help win her heart. Opal will need a family who is happy to continue her training, help her build confidence and independence, and give her plenty of affection, playtime and attention. In return, you’ll have a fun, affectionate and devoted little companion who has plenty of love to give. Opal is a lovely 3 year old Cockerpoo who is full of character and has a huge amount of love to give. She’s a playful, lively little girl who loves having fun and being around her people. Opal is looking for a home where she can be the only dog. She can be social with other dogs when out and about, but would prefer to have her home and family all to herself. She may also have the potential to live with cats and smaller furies with the right introductions. She can live with secondary school-aged children and have older primary school children visiting. Opal can be left for 1 - 2 hours once she has settled into her new home, with potential to be left a little longer once time left alone has been built up. She is familiar with being left in the kitchen whilst her foster carer is out and about. As a Cockerpoo, she’ll also need regular grooming every 6 - 8 weeks, so finding a good local groomer who can take her on would be ideal.
