Parsley2014 | Svart | Cob | Under 13,2 hh Det hingstkräft i 2021 är med inga rättelser vad det var då Parsley räddades i slutet av 2014. Tyvärr finns det fortfarande mycket oansvariga ägare som fortsätter att lämna sina oönskade djur. Parsley är en av de lyckliga. Vi behöver dig att stödja oss så att vi kan fortsätta vara redo och i månd att ingripa när det behövs och hjälpa andra ponier som honom. Historien hittills... I början av hingstkräftens tid, blev en av våra teammedlemmar beordrad av Durham County Council om de kunde ta in en häst och foal. Alla var lite förvånade då en foal följde en årstallaktig colt ur hingstbilen! Den fattige Parsley hade tydligen växt upp för tidigt och gjorde misslyckade försök att titta från sin nya värnare. Varderna, som hade blivit tillkallade för att hjälpa det avlämnade paret, hade förståeligt nog antagit att de hade hittat en mor och hennes son. Trots att han hade gott kroppstillstånd vid ankomsten tog det många månader att få Parsley till gott hälsotillstånd; han hade en tung lammförening och lidde under upprepade attack på sked (diarré). Därför behövde han långvarig medicin för att hans inflammerade mage skulle kunna återhämta sig.

Sadly however, there are still highly irresponsible owners out there, who continue to abandon their unwanted animals.Parsley is one of the lucky ones.We need you to lend your support so that we can continue to be ready and able to step in when needed and help other ponies just like him.The story so far...Back in the early part of the horse crisis, one of our team was asked by Durham County Council, if they could take in a mare and foal.Everyone was then a little surprised, when a foal followed a yearling colt off the horsebox!Poor Parsley had clearly been weaned rather too early and was making fruitless attempts at suckling from his new found guardian. The wardens, who had been called to help the abandoned pair, had understandably assumed they had found a mother and her son.Despite being in fairly good body condition on arrival, it took many months to bring Parsley to good health; he had a heavy worm infestation and suffered repeated bouts of scouring (diarrhoea).As a result he needed prolonged medication to allow his inflamed gut to heal.
